This is why everyone is pissed, they asked a question on information passed the cut off date. I got it right so it wont help me if it was a throw out, its just the principle of it all. So the next test they can question things past the cut off date since they did it for this test. This whole debacle of an exam is on DCAS. They dropped the ball on this test on numerous occasions. Hopefully the job and public realizes DCAS's incompetence in giving and proctoring an exam.
2 months to give the make up exam
Protest session given a month before the make up exam
No throw outs on a test with numerous questions that should have been thrownout
10 months to establish a list with no changes
All these things makes me wonder if they even move the questions around for the make up exam or just gave it straight forward like our exam.
Most of the heavily protested questions had generic or sometimes opinion driven interpretations as the reason the proposed answer was the only correct choice, or other choices were rejected.
Some questions like #117 received 94 protests and 94 were deemed invalid, so not a single submitted protest was reviewed. For anyone going down to the session (you have until 1 hour before the session ends to show up), they let you bring your Candidate Record of Answers and you Notice to Appear for the session only. No test materials were being supplied and many in attendance made a big stink about not having any reference to fact patterns, especially for the heavily protested questions. They don't let you write anything down during the session.
Other numbers: 1627 individual protests were submitted, 88 questions of the 120 on the test were protested, 60 of the 88 questions were deemed invalid (not sure on the last description bc I couldn't remember the damn wording)
Other notes: The first test (4/18) and the make up exam(6/22) had identical question #'s for the In Basket portion (1-20). The jumble question #'s appeared to be for questions #21-120. The TVB Report cited the 2 test dates (4/18 and 6/22) for all the in-basket questions but then referred to different #'s for the answers that pertained to questions #21 and higher. FYI for anybody going after the make up exam advantage.

If you protested a question based on the material on the exam, it was automatically considered invalid and it was basically thrown out. Examples of those types of protests are the ops orders being protested because they were not listed, the CCRG questions and 106 for being based on material past the cutoff date. So if you fought 106 based on the fact that it was material past the cutoff date they threw your protest in the garbage. How are they allowed to do that? They can just ask a question based on something they specifically told you not to read, and when you take issue with it, they throw your protest in the garbage because your protest is based on the material on the exam which is invalid. So what are you supposed to do?
