I don't think it is. It'll reduce some but not all. The Sabbath observers aren't gonna say "hey I'm not that religious so ill take the test on the original date". And reservists will still get orders for weekend drill. In the end this lawsuit will only serve to embarrass the dept, and delay the promotions for this list, which will subsequently delay the next Lt test.

I just want to get promoted. I gave up so much, we gave up so much. These nine sgts, what are they getting out of this??? They throw the test out?? You still failed. What's the point? Lying about cheating for our exam day is insane.

All you "True Elite" (patrol Sgts) even "Regular Elite" (acronyms units) will get made... just take one for the team and wait a bit longer for that promotion. Do it for your predecessors and for all future exams coming up...let's stick together a bit longer.

Nothing might even come from the lawsuit, but it has certainly gotten the attention of the Job and DCAS... They should be ashamed of themselves for allowing that Capt create such a f*cked up test and not allowing 1 change of the 19 submitted.

I think that the test will be given a weekday and military scammers will have to sign an availability waiver prior to signing on to the test in addition if ur not incapacitated ur taking the test.

Now that Vuccinaj has embarrassed the Department on an almost national level he needs to be given a below standards eval by his superiors and put on dismissal probation. This guy wrote the worst test in NYPD history, people have been dismissed for much less. This is all his fault.

Honestly if you guys get a lawyer I'm in, so are a few of my friends who passed. Also anyone who gets on the stand and says there was "bathroom cheating" on test day needs to be charged with perjury.

People who actually studied would never take that sort of risk and anyone who didn't wouldn't even know how to navigate those questions.

To even suggest that with a 5% passing rate is ludicrous. Had there been rampant cheating and people discussing exams questions in the bathroom more than 164 people would have passed. Including those nine sgts who are putting their integrity on the line BC they are a bunch of tit babies and failed this test.

Why not promote those of us who passed the exam on the original Date, April 18... those who took the alternate exam should be skipped and not get promoted until the investigation is done ! It's not fair we have to pay because the alleged actions of others !

If this test is tossed they have to retroactively throw out every test for the past three decades. Demote the whole NYPD back down to police officers.

The ONLY difference between this exam and past exams is that it was unreasonably difficult and had flawed questions that for some reason were kept as correct.

Whoever made the call at DCAS to not accept the 19 changes needs to be forced to resign. That's what really caused this, everything else was 100% the same as past exams. So again, those exams all need to be tossed if that's the case.

Depending on what happens Monday, we should be seeking counsel. Resources should not be an issue, we must find an effective way to communicate and organize. Then decide how to file suit vs the city for our much deserved promotion.

My opinion... The test was so hard that the scammers could not blend in with the rest of the pack. Statistically impossible, such a difference in percentage of passers that took SAME exam on later date. Some definitely cheated it's all too obvious to us. If test had been straight forward or a ton of throwouts then the scammers would have had a better fit statistically with a long list. They could have blended better. The Captain and the lack of throwouts created this perfect storm to see what the cheaters that take makeups are doing. So as a person that struggled I'm happy for this exposure yet I'm sorry that the legit passers are martyrs to a system flaw that was never fixed.
