Just got the call from the personnel bureau. Verified the guy's name calling. This is no joke. I'm flipping out. I'm am a legit passer. This is complete horse ****.
I found out at 1700 but I had things to do. I heard from that unit direct. Call tomorrow morning if you think I'm messing around. Wisecop, love me or hate me you know I don't play those kind of jokes.
It's going to be interesting to see how bratton will handle this the second time around. How ironic that he's overseeing two Lt exam ordeals as NYPD commish

Who allowed Vuccinaj to write this holocaust of an exam? Whoever it was is the main one to blame for this, if the list was 600 names the cheaters would have flown under the radar like ever other exam in the past three decades and those of us who didn't cheat would be getting promoted, business as usual. This is terrible.
The best part about this is the people bringing the suit must have failed.
So all they are going to do is delay their next chance of passing by causing a ruckus (and royally fack the people that passed for real).
They'll never promote people that failed, so what's the end game here? Stick it to the cheaters and screw the real passers in the mean time? Like the old saying ... That's like putting innocent people in jail to prevent some
guilty ones from walking free.
Ok I'll play ball on this one. So let's see....let's throw out the list...give a new test..which will take atleast 6 months if not more to create. You have to grade it and provide a protest so another 4 to 6 months. Let's not forget the multiple million dollar lawsuit the elite would drop. So for my fellow original test takers...as you read my post..you are all smart men and women. You make up your own mind
I studied 6 hours a day for 8 months. That's 1440 hours of studying. At the Sergeant overtime rate of around $80 an hour, that's $115,200. That's how much they owe me if they throw out the list. If we get 100 people on the lawsuit, we will sue the city for 11.5 million in damages.
shred and company---they dont care about 200 people who passed. they didnt care about 2200 who got an unfair exam---what makes you think they care about 200? wake up. welcome to the job kid
good luck to all----everyone needs it. This is a mess of epic proportions. I personally am over this thing, but this is unprecedented and will be interesting how this plays out.
The original legit passers are going to have to start thinking about a counter move ... My only worry is nothing happened to benefit the Fd applicants when their list was tossed out

Thats a good point. My good friend was on that list. He was called Wednesday to start the fd academy. That friday he recieved another call the class was canceled, the list was tossed and he was too old to take the next test.

This is exactly what happened to me with that list. The d*cks at dcas didn't even refund my $50.
shred ...i agree with you 100%.. if they threw out this list, majorrrrrrrr lawsuit
The job doesn't care about lawsuits, it's not coming out of their budget. Plus, majority of the blame would be assigned to DCAS. If the judge freezes promotions at the hearing Monday, the job might have no choice but to toss the list. They can't wait months or years for a lawsuit finding to see if they can even start the promotion process.

They don't care about us at all, but they care about money. If they toss the list I'm not suing for $100k, I want the money I earned and deserve by sacrificing my entire life and passing the lieutenant test. All 164 of us should get at least a million to make up for lost future wages and pension. This wasn't an entrance exam that any idiot in the City could pass, this test was one of the hardest ever given, it's not fair to make us go through that again.
I missed watching my infant son grow up in order to pass this, I'm not letting them scuttle my career for nonsense.
