where do u think make up people got ideas for the test? it wasnt from dcas, it wasnt from he job, whats left.........?

I care about this job as much as DCAS & this department cares about me. I always took pride in my work, but I feel this exam process was the last straw that broke the camels back.
My morale for this job is at an all time low because of this process. Upsetting and screwing the life's of 2000 MOS that belong to the first line of supervision is not a good idea.
I did not pass this exam, but the City of NY took a bigger lost by losing a MOS who use to care.

I have been going on this site and reading all the crazy rumors for months now, if this one is true. I for one will be going to the NY Daily news with this test. They will have a field day when they see the ratio of who passed on the original date of the test and the months later religious observers make up exam. I Can see the Headlines now "NYPD ALLOWS CHEATING FOR JEWISH OFFICERS" Agree with DOS EQUIS this test sucked out all the morale I had. and I was one of the few that loved this job and took pride in my work.

I know it's up to DCAS but there should be changes (3-5) it's like corruption how there saying no changes (summons no ID, 45 , 106) ..I think the last test with all those changes they felt they don't wont any for this one.

Should have gotten someone normal to write the test if they wanted it to have no changes. I could easily write a challenging, but fair test that wouldn't have one throwout or double because I wouldn't reach into my ass to come up with the most convoluted nonsense possible.

I am sitting at a 67 and wasted a lot of time and money. time most importantly away from my children. I studied my @ss off for this exam. If I don't pass this one. that's it SGT 4 LIFE. I shall seek asylum in a detail where I will fade away. FU NYPD.

Us as cops forget we have rights also, this test " if this latest rumor is true " has so many opening for OEEOs and lawsuits. Not to mention how the media will run with it. Its our right to know what exactly happen and why did it take so long to establish a list if there are no throw outs. Not to mention a list where almost 50% of them took the test months after the orginial test date.

The media will run with it? Maybe one story.... And that's it. Nothing will change as far as this list goes. We do need some reform as far as makeup tests. Just give it to everyone on a Sunday. Problem solved

First of all, we don't really KNOW the exact breakdown of passers from original date and make up. Remember, this intel was provided by extremely reliable and trusted ondeeair. we all know how his intel been for past 6 months

One story ? U do know that one of the founders of blacklivesmatters works for the daily news, not to meniton u throw it to some city council member who is trying to make a name for him/herself. With todays media where we get crucified for anything, you honestly think one story will be made and forgotten about. I highly doubt it.

Yes, give the test on a Sunday and no excusals for drills, only for long-term deployments.

If 5% of people take the regular test pass and 70% of people taking the make-up test pass, it's clear that one group has an advantage. Almost sounds like an OEEO issue to me.

Jman ur missing the point, it will put unwanted pressure and bad publicity on this job, if they see how a selected few can take the test months later. Then you add the racial aspect as the media loves to promote, it will be all over how the executive level gives a helping hand to white religious observers while the rest get screwed, i know u like starting arguments on here from what i have read for the last couple of months so this will be the last thing i entertain.

Bigfoot im sitting on a 69, so i did my studying. If you dont see how you can fight this you have no friends what so ever. Have you talked to any civilian outside of the job. Have your family asked you about your test and when u reply that the answers r not out they look at you with a bewildered look, now tell them that only 218 pass and almost 50% of those that passed took the test months later than the original test date. If you dont see how you have a lawsuit for a promotional exam that gives an advantage to a certain group over the rest. Now you factor in all the racial tension in the media and society. Its the making of the next big scandal. Im begining to think maybe you were one of those scammers. Religious, reserve or one of the ones who got a cold and went sick.

Commonsense, if i scammed I would be sitting a lot prettier. I be at the top of the list and not the bottom. I said my peace about people getting over. It's all BS. It sucks. And you deserved better. This is what's wrong with this departmenT. You shouldn't get over it and it shouldn't be the reality. I cant believe that so many get ****ed by so few and all that's done is some venting on this forum.

Deputy Commissioner Michael Julian sued because his desk was too small when taking his Lieutenant test.... if he was able to sue for that, we definitely have more than a case... I'm too tired to do the leg work, but if someone here organize a lawsuit sign me up....even if it doesn't lead anywhere, it should be done for future test takers!

common sense has expressed the feelings of many with this exam. coupled with the appalling numbers of passers with the makeup exams there is a lot of chatter about this exam. I cant go into it---but I heard it today. and the outcry IF these rumors are true are going to be loud---the numbers simply don't add up. and there are some questions that are indeed flawed where they would have no reason not to make a change.
