Have not been promoted yet but I'm sure it's like anything else, just takes time. No one went to a new precinct and fit in immediately or clicked with everyone they work with. Give it time buddy

Im not a sgt yet.. but a had this conversation with a good friend when he was promoted a few years ago... He went from the academy to his old cmd and then got promoted from there after 8 years. That was the only home he new.. Me, on the other hand, I've been to at least 5 cmds, and I've seen soo many new faces... What I told him was Just remember when a new supervisor was assigned to ur cmd, everybody kept a distance, didnt have much interaction with them until they tested the waters and saw for  how they can approach the new boss,.. well the same thing will happen when we get to our new cmds a supervisors... It will be a little lonely, not many people will talk to u because u are a boss now... they dont know if they can joke around with you.  But just give it a few weeks and you will see more of your cops will have a better and hopefully more open communication with u. Best of luck
