I can tell you how many sgts are on terminal but sgts are different then Lt's. With Lt's theres a set number sgts there ls not.

As of yesterday the job is short 86 Lt's and thru July we will be short more then 105 Lt's

They wont. This job is of the mentality that if they promote the 105 people we need then they will only have half a list left. Its like the guy with 3 pens, he isnt using any of them but if you borrow 1 then he only has 2 and 2 isnt as good as 3.

That is an excellent analogy. Makes sense to fill all vacancies, wait a few months and promote again. We'll see what happens, we need those pens now, might as well put them to use as soon as possible.

They dont track the same way. Lt's have a specific number required. As far as i know no other rank does.

Can someone update the vacancies please?

Last i checked a few days ago there were 96 current vacancies. Additionally thru july there will be 126 vac. If they put the capts class in as expected (25 bodies) vac at the end of july will be 151 if not more. Thats all i have for now.

As of Sept 23 there are 61 Lt vacancies. If I was a betting man I would say at least one maybe two classes of 30 by the end of the year.

Obviously, he meant after captain promotions. So you can add 12 to the number you provided.
