The difference sgt2be is that im not highering an attorney, I have not consulted an outside attorney who will tell me what I want to hear for my money.

There are many attorneys on this job, including many sgt's who took this test. It's not very expensive at all to sue when you're doing it yourself.

And actually there is very little case law against DCAS because very few people have ever filed a lawsuit against them. There was no lawsuit filed in 2011, I checked and it wasn't even filed with the courts, so thats what happened with that test.

And for your information sgt2be. Lawsuits are whats changing this Department and City so dramatically right now. Our Department is getting suid for everything, thats why we are chaning the C summons, Performance evaluations, getting body cameras, etc.

I figured most of us here were 25k hires or even less time on. Everyone who isn't either failed a test or skipped a test if they took the 2015 Lieutenant Exam, other than possibly a small number of people towards the bottom of the 2009 sergeant list.

This is a funny conversation lol. Good points all around and maybe a little childishness by one or two members. I will say that sgt2be did come off as a little condescending and 1-way. Sgt2be, great for you that you passed but you shouldn't be taking a dump on everyone else who's thinking up ideas on how to pick up points to pass. That's just selfish.

secret i am not....it is the furthest thing i am trying to do...but if you think a lawsuit is your answer then you truly are clueless. The ops orders being dismissed...its solely on a technicality at best...they could have put it in the noe and ppl would still not have studied them along with the CRG. I will include myself in this category. Now there are questions that are great throwouts....number 7 and number 106 come to mind...But then you have questions that ppl are going for on technicalities...for ex number 10. Now i got it wrong, i didnt get it wrong bc of the technicallity in missing one statement, i got it wrong bc i misinterupted reading the procedure and when i went to class. These are dismissals on technicalities and to me are less likely to get dismissed compared to ones like 106. A lawsuit was filed in 2011...that is fact and it is also fact that it was dismissed quite quickly. I talk to some of those sgts today....they all state the same thing...the lawsuit was laughed at. To me, 2011 was alot stronger then this case. I said it before and ill say it again....you did not fail this test bc of the ops orders...you failed this test bc you did not know the PG as good as you needed to to pass this extremely difficult exam. You could have gotten every CRG and OPS order wrong and still have passed with flying colors. Thats my opinion...i dont care what anyone thinks of it.

sgt2be, I'm not saying you're actually a condescending person or 1-way. That's just how it sounded. As I said, good points on both sides of the argument. I couldn't say what the proper course of action would be. I knew it was a difficult test and I was one of those guys who studied with the intent of getting at least a 90. I had time to write down my answers but I chose not to because I don't want to be checking the forums every 5 min like a crack fiend. I figure I'll just wait to see what happens when the dust settles. I think a lot of people would disagree with this but it's what I decided to do.

wish you the best...although i have to tell you that you might have done yourself a disservice by not checking and not attending the protest. One single protest is all it takes...and with a test like this EVERYONE should have attended. But like voter turn out. everyone just likes to talk but when it comes to action half the job isnt to be found.

Last I checked big guy my score was low 80's...with 2 pts in the run/jst and senority I will be high 80s....nice try though and pretty good for a "25k" guy as you put it. As for everyone else....there will be throw outs. Just how many no one on this job can tell you

The current lieutenant list is getting cut, no reliable info on that, just a guy I know who knows another guy who said her brother is a mechanic at jiffy lube and he heard one of his customers come in say that they cutting the list, then again the same customer got the wrong oil viscosity so it all could be bogus!
