If you are attending the protest session this week for last months lieutenants test, we have a one-page document of support. If interested, please respond to this email and well send it out to you.
I like how they send it out the night before the protest. I responded to this 6 hours ago and they never even sent me the stupid document. Anyone else have this going on?
Edit: Received the email. It basically says they talked to DCAS and the Ops Orders will stand.

I got a email from elite from yanosik ... It says good luck and he's " here for us " ..... Him and our money will wish us luck
I'd rather have a damn operations order packet than his damn moral support ... Damn rising star gave it out and their class is the cheapest .. My own fault I should of studied yanosiks crossword puzzles more
I don't care what the key says. I am protesting every ops order/crime refernce guide question i get wrong. DCAS has to think twice if 100's of people submit a protest for a specific question.
So much for thinking the ops order questions would be the research questions. I can see their final f**k you to us would be to have the easier questions being the research questions. Everythings on the level though now. Thanks re-engineering team.

Agreed. I can't see how ops orders and ccrg questions will stand if we weren't told (via noe) that we need to know them.

The Key is in the business of making money, same as Elite and rising star. Think about it, how much more they gonna profit if there is another exam in 1.5 years... The reason for the Last minute email and i repeat last minute is because they are trying to leave a notion in your mind regarding their great customer service and that they are trying to help youth the time of need... If they wanted to make a difference they should have sent this nonsense at least a week ago.
Now Regarding Key's letter that we can't fight OOs based on the word 'may'....
It is true that the word 'may' creates very vague and ambiguous statement in the test description and it might leave room for other topics not specifically listed BUT in this case the Noe has to be specific, like a binding contract if its not specifically stated-it is disputable.
Here is the link to my prior post that describes how to formulate a passage to fight OOs risingstarpromotion.activeboard.com/t60161684/for-the-fighters-out-there/
Include both our noe and 2013 sgt noe with test area highlighted.
Remember, power in numbers!!!!
The panel will most likely consider tossing a question if 150 people protest it vs 2
First definition of "may" in my Webster's Dictionary I'm bringing to the protest:
verb. To be allowed or permitted to.
That sounds to me like it excludes anything other than what they MAY ask us. Fight that, may means what it means, it's right there in the stupid dictionary.
yeah guys, don't give up on fighting the ops orders, if the key was so in the know with dcas, they would've predicted that there were gonna be 20 ops orders on the test.... Even using the keys logic, in the court of public opinion they still don't have a leg to stand on.
You've all done each other a huge disservice by not discussing the questions here and refreshing each other's memory for the purpose of protesting, all to prevent the success of a few scammers even at the expense of their own success, over an issue that was debunked as being completely overrated by Gamblor, who is still held in high regard here, for the moment.
Ok here's my take. I think of all the ops orders questions count it's a great thing because since it wasn't on the NOE there's a good chance all ops orders questions will have to be thrown out. That's a bunch of points for everyone.
I promise you ops orders will count...and most will be tough to get thrown out. guys really....dcas will THROW OUT 10 to 12 questions??? They didn't do this for a test in 2011 where they used a book NEVER mentioned before...but will for ops orders??? They messed up big time...the funny thing is that some think that dcas will admit to that and just give everyone points. And pls..before you tell me about the 19 questions that were given last test..only a couple complete throw outz. Protest protest protest...but don't bank on all those being thrown out bc your up ****'s creek wo a paddle

I think ops order will be a long shot. The difference is 2011 Lt exam did mention that there would be Judgement questions. However no one expected the amount given. This exam's NOE did not mention ops orders at all.
It would be a bad precedent to set to allow questions from material not in the notice of exam. What's to stop them from testing firefighting procedures or physics on the next exam if they can draw questions from anything they want. The reason for the notice of exam is to inform you on what material is testable. why even have the notice of exam if it doesn't matter?
I agree with pa-troll sgt. Not using this site to help everyone stage an effective protest was an enormous mistake. The fact this 'rule' has been enforced most vigorously by the biggest washer women, EDPs and douchebags on this site is even worse. 'PROTEST, PROTEST, PROTEST EVERYBODY but, whatever you do, don't talk about the protest!' This miguided censorship campaign will cost a lot of points and the scammers will get what they need anyway. We'll done!!!

You said it yourself, they messed up bigtime. Not putting Operations Orders on the Notice of Exam was a monumental blunder on DCAS' part. One that cant be denied. IF they dont throw those out then why even put anything on the NOE to begin with? If they dont throw then out due to that factor then why protest anything at all if they can just ignore whatever they want.
fod....trust me buddy im on your side with this. THEY MESSED UP DOES NOT EQUAL them throwing out 10 questions. Wont happen as much as i would love it. I have no stake in this, i got most of them wrong. I would not bank on this being your chance to get promoted. But doesnt mean it should not be raised as a valid point to protest.
Ops orders are thrown out. 120 as well.
But here is tge problem. Some so correct answer choices on gamblors key are actually incorrect.
Oh btw, no throwouts in inbasket
everyone is crying about the ops orders...so they left them out on the NOE big deal. What I think is a better protest is what else they left out. For example, what about the hoards of policy and procedure documents that aren't listed on the NOE, but are related to a test question? I know of one in particular that is an LBB question, and also documented on the car stop best practices manual. Without going into details, department policy advises us to not remove occupants of a car on a car stop ordinarily. That's not on the NOE, but it supports my protest so I'm using it. And no one can tell me it's not just as important as any other piece of random procedure/order/document that I can find to fight a question. Look for conflicts...not just PG conflicts, but any between AG and PG, student guides, Ops Orders/LBBs etc.
Holding: the aforementioned example can not be a throw out because you have to answer that question within the scope of LBB. Forget about the job regulations, those are tactical issues
It's all in how its worded. If they lock you in to a procedure, you're right. If they just ask what is allowed, or proper or whatever, then its possible. I don't remember the exact wording.
