Out of about 15 people I've spoken too I only know of 4 who are above a 70. All 4 of us came in right on that 71 or 72. Everyone else is low 60's with a few 50's sprinkled in there.
So 128 passed and if captain ponytail is so prepared for the protests that means very few if any will get thrown out. Imagine a list of 128? They'd need another exam in 6 months lol
I'm calling shenanigans on this. First, I highly doubt that anyone in 1PP has knowledge of the numbers that passed yet (at least not anyone that is going to share that information). Second, 128 passers would put the passing rate at the lowest of any promotional exam ever in the NYPD. Based on the scores discussed here, I doubt that is accurate.
Finally, everyone keeps talking about the "re-engineering team". There are no more teams outside of the small group of people organizing the recommendations and the implementing bureau personnel that are responsible for each piece. Also, I was a member of the re-engineering team on promotional exams, as was the brat, and both of us can tell you that pretty much everything discussed in this thread is inaccurate. With the Sabbath exam that everyone hates, it was not one of our recommendations to remove it as it isn't possible to do so. You will always need an alternate test date for legal and EEO reasons. However, the impact is not immense. Yes, higher percentage of people that take the exam on the alternate date do pass. However, the number of people that take that exam is not very large. For example, in another thread, someone stated that 53 people took the makeup exam for the 2011 Lieutenants exam, and 44 passed. The actual number was 32 and only 17 passed (passing rate of 53%). That is higher than the 29% of people that passed the exam on the initial date, but not as astronomical as initially insinuated. At the end of the day, 17 people, out of a total 2295 who sat for the 2011 Lieutenants exam, may have benefited in some way due to the alternate test date. That isn't something to cry over.
thank you gamblor for the clarification. I could have sworn this guy discussed removing the sabat exam....was your head boss the co of the 109 at the time?
Agree with Gamblor 100%,....we shall see in a few hours. Good luck to all
