I'm hoping someone might be able to smuggle the key out and post it on here. Maybe someone with a photographic memory could memorize it? Or maybe it will get posted here by ESP. In the past I think it got posted.
If we get 20 guys to remember 6 answers a piece we could post the key ... However this example of unity amongst the rank has never been achieved before .... We gotta hope for a dcas member that hasn't drank the Kool aid and allows us a moment to take a pic ... I know during my test the proctor was rebellious and told us what time it was ... She was executed shortly thereafter so I don't know
I am going on the 13th to freaking BROOKLYN! These jerks sent me as far away as possible smh. I guess our best bet would be to try to remember which 20 do not count. It will be easier for others to use gamblors key that way. I will try to remember at least 5 if any others could try to remember which 20 DO NOT COUNT, it would help the key substantially.
i think our best bet is to find out how accurate key is...if we get 20 ppl to say key is off by 2 to 5 then that will give us some idea how close the key is....well have to start a thread comparing gamblors to the real key
I'm supposed to go to BKLN on the 13th. No way am I doing that. One of you obsessed lunatics better step up to the plate and post a clear photo of the key on the 12th so I don't have to go. If you don't and I have to waste my time going to this thing, I will tell everyone who wants to know everything about this test.
for the 13 sgt exam they had 3 huge poster sized answer key up around the classroom. ppl gather around the proctor to give in their packets back... shouldnt be to hard to memorizeanswer key. posting up any form of that answer key is highly advised against but posting off memory would work as others have done. hope this helps
Going on the 12th. These next 5 days are going to feel like an eternity. Going to get as much info so we all protest. We stand a great chance if we are all united and take down Capt. Insano.
I got the 14th... Stupid 20k patrol coverage will not allow me to go to the protest. It seems nothing worked in my favor for this test. It just wasn't meant to happen.
All joking aside, is it true the instructors cannot attend the protest? I understand a retired guy not being allowed to sit for the exam/protest but why not active mos? I ask because this progest is starting to look like as much of an ambush as the test was. If ever a professional protest assasin were needed it's for this abortion.
Why can't we talk to each other? I get that you don't want it to be like the floor of the stock exchange. People will need to concentrate. Still, it's not a test. I can't even remember the damn questions. How am I supposed to lodge a protest if I don't know what I am looking for? You could easily kill a half hour trying to protest a single question before you realize they actually got it right and you have no grounds.
Also, I understand not wanting to give the make up people an advantage but, if we're not going to discuss particulars of the exam prior to the protest we are only hurting ourselves. We all know they're going to get the questions and answers one way or another. They always do. Why cut off our noses to spite our faces? What's the point of this forum if we don't use it to help us lodge an effective protest?
The whole process is rigged. You should be able to read the the questions before deciding what you will protest. Instead they break it up into two days. Most people won't even attend on weds because they will know their score and those who go will not be enough. The protest without the schools is a legal loophole to avoid litigation.

Can anyone tell me specifically where this restriction is or how it is put in place? I get that you have to be an active UMOS. Retired guys at the schools can't sit for the exam. It follows they can't sit for the protest either. I don't have an issue with that. It's common sense.
How do they stop an active UMOS who works for the schools from taking the test and protesting? Do you now have to be eligible for promotion to Lt on the day of the test to take it and/or protest it?

Only active Sergeants can sign up for the test, and therefore, also the protest. They used to allow anyone with $100 bucks take it, but they added this rule after 18 questions were thrown out in 2011.

It sounds familiar. Nobody is taking the Captains test anymore because the rank sucks. What does the job do? They destroy the rank of Lieutenant so the the Lts say '**** it, if I'm going to be tormented and miserable, I may as well be a Captain.'

I vote for nobody posting any photos or anything regarding the exam...that would only allow some people to bypass the protest session. Im only telling people what i got, if they want the answers they are going to have to go themselves....we need as many eyes as we can on these questions....dont post sh*t In here!

The process was never on the level anyways. The schools would sit and dissect the test because they had nothing to lose. Everyone else is there trying to advance their career not pick quesions apart. By the time you're out everything is a blur. If the city really wanted a fair process they would allow the candidates to come back 1 or 2 days after to pick the test apart BEFORE you get the answer; This way all the questions and answers would be protested based on errors and not influenced by what questions you got right or wrong.
