read asap!! even if you have a 55 potential score.!!

the biggest mistake for everyone is to rely on gamblors key and then give up!, and no im not saying its not reliable, i thank him for his hard work. MYy point is i have encountered numerous people who because they got a 55 or a 60 they tell me, "nah im not gonna go protest"  what!!!! do not stop because the key show you this. YES the key is a great way to know more or less how u did but if you do not go and protest guess what , odds are the next person also thinks that way, soon the only people that will go and protest will be the ones in their 70 or high 60's and that is just a handful. I am very confident after speaking to yanosik that unity is power and even the 50's may have a shot if everyone stick together and fights!!! every question, , anything is possible. , you may pass. its a loooong shot but you gave 8MONTHS of your life!!! to cut yourself short now?? one day (to say) you did all u could isnt going to kill you!. please everyone and everyone you know must protest. dont i repeat DONT! rely on others to do this because who will benefit from this? if you dont go?  the scammers who will be on top of the list.

There will be no shortage of protesters.  Don't be fooled by this forum, there are highly motivated people who will be there.  The majority of the people will be there just to see the the key.  Most of these people don't even know how to protest.  Don't be concerned about the scammers; This test is a different animal, you can give the military guys an open book test and I sincerely believe most will still fail.  Insano has created a masterpiece worthy of being the toilet paper of the gods.

Trust me bro.  You don't want a bunch of people clogging up the hallways and taking up space to talk about irrelevant non-sense.  It's best if a small group of sharp individuals show up with all the resources, tools, time and the space to work.  We'll be fine.

I agree because if everyone was so sure what the correct answers were we wouldn't have everyone thinking they failed. I think when the key comes out a lot of people are gonna be surprised. Myself too hopefully

History has shown that the key pretty much holds up. We shall see if that proves correct again. It won't be far off tho and if you think this key is really inaccurate...then I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

Unfortunately a majority of people I speak to say they aren't going. That is so ridiculous to say that. I have copies of procedures for everything I can remember was on the test. The questions were so tricky that even what you feel were ground ball questions you might've gotten wrong due to a subtle Captain Insano trick. If everyone shows up and tries to fight a handful of questions they got wrong, that would be thousands of protests submitted to DCAS. I truly believe that if only 1 person protests a question, then DCAS may not give that protest a serious look. On the flip side, I truly believe that if dozens of well written protests come in for a question, then they may take a harder look at the question to see if there is an error.

Case in point is all of the operations orders/crime reference guide. I am attaching a 2015 LT exam NOE and a 2013 SGT exam NOE to every one. If 100's of people do that, then they would be way more likely to think about tossing all the questions pertaining to ops orders/crime reference guide.

Bottom line is every one needs to show up with materials to attach as evidence and fight questions they think have an error.

I agree. Everyone needs to go and protest the questions. Don't depend on others.

Also in the past the class instructors (misford, yanosik, shea etc..) were able to take the exam and later protest questions. Thus making the protest for previous exams more successful.  That is no longer the case. We are on our OWN!

Never been to a protest session. What can I do and what can I bring? I tossed all my patrol guide stuff with the exception of my Rising star stuff as well as yanosik handouts.

you can bring patrol guide, they make copies of stuff you have, you need to be able to prove and backup your protests.

I went to the 2013 Sergeant's Protest. If it goes the same way, here are the rules.

No cellphone or other electronic devices, especially cameras

You were allowed to bring blue/black pens and your yellow answer sheet (or copy from DCAS) with your answers on it

You were allowed to talk and confer with others in the classroom

The answers were posted on 3 walls of the classroom on large size poster board

You were NOT allowed to take a copy of the answers with you. This means ANY reference material or random scraps of paper you brought in were confiscated when you left.

There was no copier available. So if you protested a question and wanted to submit a PG procedure, you had to give them a copy of your own page.

You can take your yellow sheet or DCAS answers with you when you leave, but NOT if you have ANY marks on them other than the answers.

That's right... if you make little X's or check marks or dots or ANYTHING other than the answers (ABCD) themselves (even if it was during the exam itself and not the protest session), your sheet will be confiscated. If you dispute it, the person will call a supervisor over who will examine the sheet and then tell you, "No, you can't take this, sorry. It's right on the exam instructions too. You are not allowed to make any marks on the paper other than the answers themselves. You can technically be disqualified for it."

There was always at least one monitor in the classroom making sure you weren't writing the answers down or snapping pictures of the answers or anything. Somehow, last test, the answers still made it out from several people. But if you get caught, you're in for a world of trouble.

The purpose of all these rules is to make it extremely hard to protest and impossible to take the answers home so you can consult with people outside of the protest session (e.g. instructors).

The way I read these Gestapo Instructions is that I MAY have scrap and MAY TALLY MY SCORE...HOWEVER. I will have to hand that scrap paper in at the end

Take a picture or make a copy of your answer key BEFORE you go there bc they will take your answer key away before you leave.

It kinda funny they want to keep an integrity thing. But yet your given a test by people who couldn't spell lieutenant and couldn't keep the (f-bomb) off their cell phone and by the way scream into it in the hallways of IS93. Also if your going to give a test like this don't sent out some servey about promotional test. 20k. Jobs on the level

I must say, reading this post was refreshing and rejuvenating.  Thank you! After the test I had read so many posts and the potential high scores of others that I so eagerly awaited for my DCAS copy of the Scranton since I didn't have a chance to write down my answers. I got a 60% after I plugged the answers into Gamblor's key and was so disheartened, especially since I studied my ass off the same way and got an 88 on the 2011 Sgt. test.  To cope and just not have to deal with it, I already came to peace with myself that I did not pass and just focused on the next two goals, 1) transferring elsewhere to a better gig and 2) going to back to finish a Masters. However, you are correct in that we should fight for every and any potential point we can.
