I know everyone is saying that Operations Orders are not mentioned on our NOE, but it was on the 2013 SGT NOE. I also noticed that the 2013 SGT NOE specifically mentions that they were responsible for the Crime Reporting System Reference Guide. On our NOE, they don't mention that either. Thoughts??

i dont know how they can hold us responsible for material that is not mentioned in the NOE. If they are allowed to do that then what would stop them from asking us questions on Con-edison procedures or physics questions just to **** with us even more.

Honestly, if it isn't in the NOE, then we aren't responsible for it. I do remember something on the test involving the Crime reporting system. I say that we should definitely use that to our advantage.

My thoughts are that theyre most likely research, thats why it wasnt listed: because they wont count. I also believe certain questions i saw verbatim from previous tests will also be Research. Theres no way that Captain settled for using old questions when it can mean easy points for people.

Not for nothing if the Ops orders were research questions than that is a completely unfair testing tactic. Once I started seeing them in the questions my head started spinning, thinking I completely blew the whole thing by not studying them. The whole thing just throws you off. It's disheartening to sit there trying to focus when you see stuff you've never prepared for.

There has to be checks and balances somewhere when it comes to making these tests. There is no higher authority that reads these and thinks they're a proper way to promote people? I don't get how anyone thinks the whole concept of adding 20 questions that could be about anything for "research purposes" and the test takers don't know what they are is fair. And the even sadder thing is that the persons who write these tests got to where they are by going through the same process we all work, but under normal, expected circumstances. The whole thing is bull ****.

What happens if this test failed to ask the question on the inspector general? We should all get 1 point for their failed mistake. I believe it's mandated by law that the question must be asked.

That's saying I forgot to put a ruxxer on, I never met a bunch of clowns. I think this was a fair test I didn't have to study at all and I got the same score as the guy who studied 10 hours a day, I love it.

I don't think their gonna do that. It is mandated by law to be asked on every civil service promotional exam. However they did omit to ask it on the 2011 Lt test as well and to my knowledge did not credit everyone a point. The last few nypd exams have been disasters. Can't understand how they keep doing this.

One of my buddy spoke to the pony tail cap dracula just now. This dracula said he purposely design the test to put people under pressure and design it so you wont be able to go back and even have chance and double check ur answers.

For what purpose? Are they testing technical knowledge or just designing a race against the clock? Seriously, what is the main goal of the test? I would like to know how rushed he was during the 2006 Lt's exam.

I looked up a question and it didn't come from a Patrol Guide procedure. I don't want to say which guide or order it came from right now. But you will not believe how deep they went into this. I can see maybe if it came from the Patrol Guide but it didnt. No way anyone could have read something like this. These writers were really having fun with this. What a bunch of Svmbags!

the sickest part is that people have seen this guy since the exam my boy said and he is totally not effected by this debacle. hes combative about it saying people need to put in more time for the exams and if you didnt pass you dont deserve to be a Lt. the way this guy thinks is totally amazing----he wants no one to get promoted. never seen someone so mad at the world. very angry albanian.

The only problem is there will be people getting promoted- as was the case with the 2011 test - that took the test only for a day off Patrol. Because this test is who guessed correctly. So I guess he would rather have Lieutenants who didn't even study for the test. For someone thats so smart, what an Idiot !!

Count Dracula wasn't promoted off the 2006 Lt. Exam. He might have been promoted off the 2003 Lt. exam. I know for a fact that he was promoted to Captain in December 2009.
