From what I gather, we're definitely getting them. That being said, while having more questions isn't fun, if they add time at least it evens things out. They did so on the last two exams, so I wouldn't worry.
Same amount signed up as in 2011, and even with 16 throw outs that was under 700 names. With a little over 2200 people signed up, I think the list size will still remain in the 700-900 range. No way the exam has over a 50% pass rate. This will not be a repeat of 2006 where nearly every sergeant on the job took the exam...over 4000 people with a list of around 1300.
Mifsud says test will be straightforward. I believe him. All those guys are in the know. The list will be a healthy size (1100 perhaps) and everyone won't make it.
But like always, using my tired old line.
WE'LL KNOW WHEN WE KNOW
ive studied real hard, put in the time. Whatever it will be, it will be.

Listen, everyone should study as hard as possible for the next 10 days no matter how hard the test is "supposed to be." I love how these KEY instructors all pretend to have the inside scoop. They have to do sh*t like that because their school Is terrible!

So does anyone know if the research questions are predetermined, or random, or if they base them on something more logical.
For example, if the majority of people that took the test on the Saturday got a question wrong but then the Sunday and make up test people got those same questions right (assuming someone told them about it), they make that a research question. Just curious. I'm grasping for straws.
I almost feel like the use the research question to sway the test the way they want. So if they want a list of 600 throw these out... If we want a list of 800 throw these out. In order for me not to believe anything different is if the next day following exam you should know which ones don't count. I think they wait to score them first then pick some... Smh it is almost not even fair. If you want me to answer 120 grade 120 and still do whatever research you like.. Cause what about the ppl who have those right that will fail because of it
I agree with you guys. These research questions are fugazy. If the questions are indistinguishable from regular questions, why do you need research questions at all? Why not randomly select 20 questions of the actual test to conduct whatever analysis you subject them to? What the hell are they researching anyway? There has to be some sort of liability issue and this is a countermeasure. They wouldn't be collecting data unless there was a buck to be made or saved by it.
What else could it be? Are they are trying to make the testing process more arbitrary and less fair with each successive exam? If so, then their research seams to be paying off quite well.
These research questions are used by these scumbags to skew the test either way they want. Too many people pass, throw out the ones everyone got right, and vice versa. And of course, not a peep from any of these cowardly unions.
Research questions are the past exam questions and I personally recognized few past exam question word to word from the key re-writes that were added into this stupid test
