Does anyone know how many chart days new sgts accrue? Anyone who just finished bmoc, did they tell you? Anyone in bmoc right now, can you ask? Thanks a lot!
I'm not 100% sure on the specifics but I know some sgts work longer tours so they get more chart days. For instance I believe a sneu Sgt works a longer tour then say a conditions sgt so the sneu sgt will get more chart days a year.
If you work 8:57 on patrol on a scooter chart you earn 10 days per year
If you work 8:57 on a 5&2 chart you earn 27 or 28 days per year
If you work 8:35 on a 5&2 chart you earn 18 days per year
But all sgts with less then 5 years in rank will earn 3 less chart days per year until they have 5 years in rank.
So with less then 5 years in rank the #'s are
It's amazing how many people have no idea what they get on this Job in general.
Anyways, when I went through BMOC there was a 'Chart Day Guy' that came in one day. He had a sheet with a breakdown of all the various charts Sgt's work and how many days they accrue. It was great. If someone could scan that sheet up here it would be invaluable.... I seemed to have misplaced mine. I'm nearly 100% positive that 5/2,5/3 scooter chart gets 7 chart days a year, then after 5 years in rank you get the contractual +3 days for a total of 10. If you work 8:57 and have steady days the numbers go from 27 to 30 after 5 years in rank. Those 2 I'm certain of, because, well I love chart days!!
