Class of only 12 would leave 2 more additional classes before 2012 is done. It looks like anywhere from Oct to Dec for the first promotions off this list, despite a Sept test.

At the time and in the venue where a lot of falsehoods and fiction tend to get presented as facts, it is rare, refreshing and encouraging to have someone who can be relied on for the much needed information. The question that some of us have now is - what does the current rate of capt's promotions mean for the "survivors of #4500"? When will the list get released and when will the promotions from the 2013 Capt's test begin? If anyone has any information in regards - it will be greatly appreciated.
Just a guess here. List and 1st class are out in July when anyone who passed this test would be eligible from 2011 LT test. Maybe later depending on how many in the 1st class passed
At one point, I believed this list would be out by May and promotions would start in the summer or early fall....but I doubt it at this point. Capt promotions have slowed down considerably...it's been 6 months since the last group got made.
If theyre doing 12 in 2 weeks, I'd tack on at least another 9 months (end of Nov) till they start promoting off our list. Pattern since 2010 has been 4 classes a year, one every 3-4 months on avg (but can be as long as 6) at 10-12 a clip.
By the way...as of about two weeks ago, the review panels for both the 2013 Captain's and Sergeant's exam had not yet convened. Not sure if anyone has any updated info.
