in the event questions are tossed out and someone passes, do extra points for longevity count towards our score? Or do we only get the extra point if we pass before the protest?

You need to have at least a 70 after the protest is done for all your other points to be added on

Your after protest score is still your raw score.  That has to be a 70 for the other bonus points to kick in.  Ex:  you went to the protest and end up with a 68 on your green sheet.  Two double answers go in your favor and now you get a 70.  You passed.
