You may be right? Will it take longer to grade and have protest sessions with a longer test loaded with questions that "don't count"?
But that means the "good" shot of the list being cut, based on your Actual facts on opinions and rumors based on logical theories, is unlikely. Thats why trolling is not good, nothing is certain....

why would anyone retake the test.... did you retake the NYPD applicant test? if so, were you on 2 separate lists? lol
Really? Was taking the first test so hard? Maybe the guy wanted to assure he gets promoted even under the rare possibility that his list get cut. Why don't you ask the same stupid question to all the 2006 sgts on the lt's list that thought it was ridiculous to take the 2011 test.

2006 list did not get cut. Nor the 2007, 2008 or 2009. You are thinking about the 2003 which had failing grades get promoted.

I was talking about the '06 Lts test. I'm not here to say the last sgt test will be cut. I don't think it will. But it's mind boggling that someone would question anyone on that list that also took this test. It's not absolutely impossible for that last sgts test to be cut. Why wouldn't someone want that insurance and take this new test as well? Anyone at the bottom of the last list that didn't take this new test is foolish, unless of course they don't care about the promotion. It's a few hours out of your day to secure a great promotion.
A few hours? More like 5 months. I'm at the end of the list and did NOT take this past test. I didn't have it in me to study again. If I was gonna commit it was gonna be at 100%. But I just couldn't for a number of personal reasons as well as just not having it in me. I don't begrudge anyone for hedging their bet from the 2011 test by taking the 2013. I took a big gamble by not taking it. But everyone has their reasons for and/or against. All of us at the end are keeping our fingers crossed. It's frustrating seeing all the 5 year wonders in my command who never did a lick of patrol get promoted but as Tony Soprano used to say "Whaddya gonna do?"
the only lists to be cut were before the 70 passing score.... maybe we should all take the 2015 sgt test too just incase in the rare instance we get skipped over this list, get promoted on the 2013 list but get demoted for being shaky, at get re promoted because we were smart enough to take 3 tests and be on 3 active lists.... lol
He's also talking about a LT test that had way too many people on it to be promoted with in the legal allotted time frame of the list. It was known pretty much by the lists 3rd active year it would die short. You can't promote 1200+ people on a rank that's only has 1900 people. Not exactly comparing apples to apples but I understand his point and there's nothing wrong with backing your bet up.

You really don't have a clue. Totally your choice not to take this test. The fact that you're laughing at someone for taking this test when their at the end of the last list is beyond stupid. As I said, I don't think the list is getting cut, but it could and has before. Maybe some more TOTJ and you'd realize that. Hopefully for you sake you're safe.
The 2002 and 2003 lists were cut. The 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 lists were small and were not cut. Basically the list numbers they are dipping into now wouldn't have been good enough to even make the last 4 lists that were smaller.
Lol for someone who probably has a 949 tax, u should be talking... Lol once again the 02,03,04,05 all didn't have a passing score of 70. The test was based off a curve and they took how ever many sgts they needed. I know it's confusing but if u re read the details to this post, eventually u will understand. Also hope u stay safe.
There was no test in '04 or '05 Resnick...silly rookie. The 2006 test was the first test with the 70 raw score rule. And it's a good thing. If you can't get less than 30 wrong on a multiple choice exam you don't deserve to get promoted.

So my 77 may not be good and I dont "deserve" to get promoted but the guys that HAVE been made already with a score of 72 and have picked up TIME points on the exam do? More factors come into play then just raw score my friend. All who pass DESERVE to be promoted. My take.
Ontheair just curious if it wasn't what they expected why would they want to consider having the 30 questions in future exams. Especially if it seems as if this experiment was a failure.
