I think TD-20 is a hook house. I also forgot, TD-34, 105, 84, 5, CJB. Best of luck to all our brothers and sisters after graduation tomorrow and good luck to the next class coming in and many others coming thru in the future. Oh and the B in BMOC means boring
How many high ranking bosses came to give you guys kool aid drinking speeches?
I heard Pulaski is a pretty energetic fellow.
I don't think Pulaski gives a lecture. Or at least he didn't when I was there. You might be thinking about Chief Reznick. Reznick was pretty entertaining.
A lot of housing. A lot.... I am going to the bk north however I will be below bklyn north
Hopefully you're at the 83. Great command.
No no no. Beeeelow bklyn as in a tunnel rat. But thanks for gesture. Lol
Prepare to write a lot of friggin 49's. Transit is very petty. My sgt had to write a 49 for an assault 3 this past summer. You'll make some money though.
Imagine a Felony in Transit Su Madre, It would Probably need an Unusual Occurrence Report LoL... Nah But There are Tons of Grand Larcenies in Transit, i'll take the ot for 49's anyday!

everything is a 49 in transit....any crime in transit has the patrol supervisor shaking in fear of the phone call from the C.O. My platoon commander shook so much he had me doing aided cards on unhurt and touched grand larceny victim for no apparent reason just so he has the extra paperwork to present to the C.O. And godforbid the 25+ year vets don't collar for a particular month, the C.O. will be on your ass and you will find yourself holding the vets hand to find a BS collar the first week of the month.
That's not a Problem, I'm sure the guy with 25 years knows how to process a simple T.O.S. arrest, they've been on the job longer than some of the New Sgt.'s been on this earth... Paperwork is the easiest part of this job, it's just tedious at times...

transit 49s i can think of....any 30,31,32,34s, man-unders, icards vacated or not, train held by police longer than 15 min in a station, theres more....if you find yourself questioning if a 49 is needed, just do the 49. Keep for yourself in case they ask for it. Templates for everything you can imagine will be in the shared documents on the main windows homepage.
I kinda wish i could go back to transit when promoted i know what BS im walking into...walking into the 75/73 as a former clueless transit cop is whats concerning me.

I've seen this at my command (busy place). Transit is a completely different job but like all new bosses, if you're humble and treat people like adults with respect..,you'll get the same in return.
A veteran or at a minimum a 5 year guy at a busy place will show you the ropes. Just like Finest said.

You will be fine. There is a learning curve for sure, but you will learn fast in a busy command. Get yourself a good driver with time on, and even though you may not know what you're doing in a precinct, it will come quickly. But remember- you are the boss. Be fair and respectful, but you're not there to be best buddies with the cops. Be a strong boss and you will be just fine.

I concur,
Please don't be that sergeant that wants to be loved by everyone including the do nothing hairbags. Lately that's what we are getting and it's annoying.
