May I point out that the statistics I did previously predicted that 612 people would be promoted off this list by now. By my count there has been 628 promoted. 2.5% off. Using an average of 36 a month the people on the bottom can predict when they'll get promoted within a few months.

Relax, brat or cry or spartan will post the news good or bad as soon as its available. Sometimes silence til the last week is better. Remember a couple months ago it was "confirmed" by the second week only to have it " cancelled" by the last week of the month.

Darn it! No sept class. It's a confirmation that this list will die . The best case scenario is that there isn't a high passing rate for this upcoming test. Stay positive! Thanks for the heads up brat! Song of the day.....

I am convinced that this list is going to get cut. I'm in the 900s and I think at this point ill be promoted within 6 months. But if I were 1200 to 1600 I would not be confident that I was getting promoted off this list

Brat it seems like whenever they are putting in lts and or capts they arent putting in sgt classes. Is that a coincidence or do they want to keep them seperate?

The different ranks have nothing to do with one another.......it all revolves around vacancy numbers.......we have room to conduct all 3 rank classes at the same time

Why do you keep thinking just because a list will be established they'll cut an old list. This dept does not do this and has not in over 10 years, and even then it's a bad comparison based on scores that were cut (below 59%). The new captains list just sat about 9 months waiting to finish the older list. The last 2009 sgt's list also sat for over a year as the 2008 one finished. It took 15 months to hit a list number of 710. I would guess to do another 7-800 list numbers it will take another 15 months. At that point the list Is finished and the new list will only have sat about 9 months. I don't know seems pretty normal to me based on every other list in the last 10 years.

Many sensitive MOS's on this PUBLIC site. Understandably so. You studied for a long period of time to get the score you got, dropping easy points on questions you already knew the answer to on a straightforward '11 test? Begging for someone's opinion on whether or not the list will get cut who has already achieved a rank above what most are waiting to obtain to feel some sense of security? The nerve! And some of you want to call yourselves supervisors and can't even think for yourselves. You should have studied harder or took the insurance policy of retaking the Oct test. Bottom line is that there will be plenty of disgruntled individuals come next summer with this in mind......
