Thats great news, but sucks at the same time, I exactly passed the exam without throw outs, and I've seen people who failed get promoted, I'm 40 something names away n I'm not sure whether I'm in the next, but I know this is the name of the game. hopefully they'll have a ton more passovers.

I've heard this bs cry from many people. As this test proves, the writers are f'n retarded. The fact that someone got two points better than me and then I passed them with throw outs does not have any meaning. In some circumstances the questions were so messed up the fact that you got a specific question correct proves you didn't know the real answer. Regardless, considering you're around 240 you're still pretty much in the same spot as if they'd not thrown any out. Good luck.
Great response Fool but I do empathize with you Cid, I am in the same boat as you and must admit it did suck seeing people that scored 8-10 points less than you get promoted months and counting before you. But at the end of the day you have to take comfort in knowing that soon you will be a Lieutenant. You'll be alright, most people on this job will never get that far. Good luck to you and everyone else on the list.

Dude I hear you,but I don't know whether you passed with throw outs or not, but when you see people who go from Failing to 110 names ahead of u when seniority kicks in, and another newly promoted lieutenant start laughing because he failed and still got promoted before u, is kind of frustrating.
Lmao...I am in the same boat as u guys..I was one of the original people who passed without the throwouts too and it did suck to see people who originally failed become lieutenants before me...but I guess that is just the way the job is and I am still thankful that I did make the list when no one who took this exam knew whether or not they would even pass..
They have 11 passovers for other reasons than time so even if half of them get cleared and they promote 38 lieutenants that means that they will get up to at least 230.

I know its difficult to estimate, but I was wondering, if someone has an estimate of how high on the list they would have to go to get the 38 Lt's for the end of the month, Taking into account whether or not the sgt's who are up, have enough time in rank. I know it's a difficult question to answer because there are other factors to consider.
Cid20...I definitely could be wrong and they might get higher than the 230 mark..I am figuring that we should know something by the end of next week so lets keep our fingers crossed. Brat do you have any insight on what number they will reach this time around?

Well, if you look at it this way- if none of the 11 passovers (for reasons other than time in rank) get picked up, and there are in fact 38 people getting promoted, then the highest list number to be called would be 240 (using the list on the other thread). Knowing whether the 11 people who have been passed over will be put in this class is information that typically not many people are privy to.
@ 1Under, Negative? Before I posted, I asked my C.O., who was in the last class, what time she was notified for her ID CARD photo, because I remembered that she said it had been late in the day. She confirmed that it was 1730 on the Friday before the promotion. She was working at the time, so it wasn't like she was RDO, on vacation, etc., and couldn't be notified in a timely manner.

Negative! Normally around 1400ish. Again, this would just be notification from EMD for photos/paperwork and not promotion per se! Yes if you get notified to take pic it looks great that you are well on your way to promotion next week, however what comes down today is simply ID/paperwork notification and not report to 1pp auditorium for promotion. That notification (promo) will probably come down Wed around 1700-1900ish!
