I can guarantee you that no Lt's are selected to write an exam that hasn't even been thought about yet. I don't know where you get your info from ondeeair2321 but you are 1000% WRONG
He may be correct with the info regarding the BMOC classes but NO Lieutenants have been selected to write the next Lt. test. That process has not begun yet.
i am sorry guys but semp1 and ondeair2321 are honest and respectable posters on here. If they said they know LT's were pulled, then they were. Saying they are wrong is basically calling them liars and i will not tolerate it. Heed your warning.
The only Lt's that were "pulled" was ONE and that was for the Sgt Exam in October. There is no Lt's Exam thought of or even talked about by DCAS or this job. I'm sure with you being so smart and informative you can share with the rest of us how the whole exam writing process comes about and works because I guarantee you you haven't a clue. That is all.

Call Testing and Research, 646-610-6888, and they will inform you that there is not a Lieutenants test being created at this time. As well as the fact that there have not been any Lieutenants pulled for a Lt exam. The only Lt pulled was to supervise the writing of the October 2013 Sgt. Exam as stated above. Lt test in APRIL/MAY is in the works....whether it gets pushed back is unknown.
I don't get the speculation. I'm just passing along the info I get. Don't study and don't worry about a Lt exam if that's what you prefer. In just telling you it's goin to happen next year--that is a fact. OMAP called for the numbers and an exam will be given. FACT. I don't get these guys who try to railroad their fellow cops on misinformation. Grow up some of you. That is all.

april is confirmed down...i highly doubt anyone can say for sure for may. Ondeair's info is good,but correct me if im wrong, he cant say what months for sure will be down months. Can only give a rough estimate of the number of down months. Simply stated, idk if anyone in the nypd can pinpoint down months so far in advance.

This is good news. The list should reach close to 1300 by next spring. Plenty of the guys on this list should be eligible for the exam
That seems a little high to me? They only promoted 520+ after a full year and keep in mind the list started out like a bat outta hell, promoting a lot of people early on and slowed down over time. So you think they will promote nearly 800 in the next 12 months? I dunno, seems a little high to me. Maybe the over/under by Spring next year should be around 1000, not 1300?

Check your math, don't go by list #, but on people actually promoted. I believe it is just a bit over 520 in a full year. Also the first few months promoted a lot of people and we saw the list come down to earth and promote at a more normal rate. 355 would imply only about 875+ ? I think everyone would agree it will be higher than that a year from now. I think the over/under a year from now is about 1000, based on the rate they have been going at.
Good info ondeair. I was also told that a LTs test will be announced at the end of this year. In addition, it is expected that everyone in the current sergeant's list will get made. A lot of promotions pending a large amount of retirements for the summer.

no info on class. they simply dont know yet. i would doubt 2 back to back down months though--but god knows if i say that someone will bash me for knowing nothing. i have heard classes would be a bit smaller but probably a big one in August. yes wisecop---i have been told october/november there should be an announcement for the Lt exam. now with that being said---if its december im SORRY. i know someone will backdate me and say LIAR. trust me---my buddy will get the info a couple of months before so i should be right on when its being announced.
the reason a big one is in august is always b/c of the west indian parade btw.....i was told that firsthand.
