Greetings fellow Sgts:

I am glad to see that most of you are still gathering on this forum to share experiences. If you are interested I am settling in at my new command after a rough start. On my first day I was put on patrol and forced to fend for myself. Although I had a 4 year cop to guide me around the confines of my new precinct, the veteran Sgt's were not much help. I guess it was a test of some sort to see how the new kid handled himself because after two days on patrol I was taken to the side and given an "at a boy" by the platoon commander. The same Lt, also told me that an Admin position might be opening up and that if I continued doing well I would be recommended for said spot. We shall see. Suddenly things are not as grim as I once thought.

I hope most of you guys are fairing well at your respective commands. As for EDAYKING, allow me to shed some light on his endeavors. I know who he is and where he went. The 023 Pct is his home now and he was sent there with another Sgt. So far he has not seen a day on patrol like most of have. I guess the 023 precinct is a slow house because his days there have consisted of desk training. Monday, he finally shall get a taste of the real world we have all tasted and I pray that the 023 finally makes him a man.

How do I come by this information. I have a Sgt good friend who is assigned there and he keeps me apprised.
