I'm surprised no one posted this from the August BMOC but the Captain that teaches the Key made an appearance during BMOC and hinted there may be Key classes in 2013 for a 2014 Lt exam. Get ready to start studying in another year. Obviously this is not confrimed..... this is coming from that Captain's source. If anyone from the August BMOC wants to expand on this.....
BTW did you guys go to the key or fast track? Or no classes at all? I did the Fast Track and honestly I will do the same with the Lt test. The online option is the best!
I did the key/rising star questions. If I'm lucky enough to make the next LT test (which I will unless it's given before next summer which I doubt), I'll likely do the same...I'm intrigued by Yanosik's new side-gig though, and the man does know his stuff. A 2014 would be a stroke of luck for a lot of us and it would be stupid to waste it by not studying as intensely as required to do well.
To put the numbers into perspective, they are already just under 20% through with that list after less than 6 months. IF it keeps up, 2 year time frame may be possible. Even if it doesn't continue at this rate...that's still great progress and could mean a new test sooner than later, which is good news for most of us.
I am going to start running on Monday. If I have no time in rank, I will need all of the extra points I can get. as for studying, I think every time I get a job that I have a question about, it is straight to the patrol guide for a true answer (studying purposes only).
Cpt misfud stated that his people said to get ready to teach next summer 2013 for lt exam. Exam possibly December 2013 or jan feb 2014. Not set in stone but he was fairly certain!
I was just about to post a thread on when we should start studying ... I'm thinking we should use a combo of the rumor mill and the current lt list .... Question is what list # should the lt list go up to before its official time to start studying .. Personally I did real well on the sgt but I don't wanna cram for 6 months again id rather study for 9 and not be as psychotic

I would start studying now if the damn guide didn't change every 2 seconds Smh
I highly doubt this, they just broke 100 names on the Lt list, but have also passed over number of people that don't have 2 years in rank as a Sgt yet. There are 600+ names on the list, so the 4 years to exhaust it may hold true on this one. So I will just guess and this is just a guess based on nothing more than these numbers, that they will give another Lt Exam about 1 year before the current list expires, so that would be about summer 2015...
