wow, looks like I'll be able to test for LT with around 8 years OTJ, maybe earlier! That's assuming I make Sgt before they give the exam of course, but given the timeline it seems definitely plausible.

no infinity, the list expires on june 13th 2016, well at least that is what dcas automated system says, could be wrong, i am just forwarding the info. U may be right infinity.
Who cares when the list expires. Whats more important is when they announce new test. And that might take place towards the end of 2014. Once they promote half or little more than half they will announce new test
There is almost no movement in the rank of Lt especially now that no one is willing to become captain. There is a good reason you see so many Lts with over 20 years on this job.
THEY DO NOT WANT TO LEAVE A SWEET RANK!
Expect the current Lt's list to go the 4 years, for sure. Anyone on the tail end of that list will have a long wait before getting made. This does not bode well for use newly minted sgts.

Oneadditional, i base my assumption on the number promotees between spring 2011 till spring 2012 from 2006 lt test. Within that period of time, dept.promoted either 200+ sgt's. It's quite possible that close 100 sgt's will be promoted by the end of the year. lets say 200 for 2013. Almost half of the list gone. so either 2014 or 2015

Fatback and Brat are 100% correct. This Lt's exam will last for the entire 4 years. The Heinz "anticipation" commercial comes to mind when I think about the L's list.
Unlike the latter, Brat has provided consistent information for quite some time. This other guy never brings anything to the table. If I had to ignore one of these people it would not be Brat.
I guess that answers that.

Amazing how a jerk-off like Oneadditional equates 571 useless posts as having time on the RisingStar forum. Your 571 posts tells me that you have no life and prefer to hang around here instead of enjoying the company of a woman. That being said, you forget that I am on the list as well awaiting to be made so your prediction of signing my book is a gross exaggeration when in fact it is I who will most likely be signing yours.
My advice to you is to peel yourself away from the computer and trytoenjoy the visages of half clad women on a day like this. I do hope you know what a woman is.
lets just remember a few things, the 2006 list was slowed by the dept. promoting the last 75 sgt's or so in order to end the list. I believe they ended up being about 50-60 over the needed amount of Luts. Also from 06-09 was believed to be one of the worst financial times we've seen in awhile which kept many from retiring. But with that said they still promoted 750 within 4 years. I don't believe our 660 will take that long but thats my opinion.....
Probably full 4 years. 661 are on it, average around 165 per year to exhaust it, thats about 40+ per quarter, seems like a normal pace to me. Lt's just don't get made every month normally.
