Hows FTU for Sgts after BMOC????

I pray that the OP is just trolling otherwise I weep for the future of this job. The fact that you're under the impression that you need a hook to get into conditions as a cop is bizarre.

You're going to get placed into a sqaud that needs a boss. If you want 4x12's and they're already full on Sergeants, you won't be working 4x12's unless someone wants to switch. You may however work yourself into the conditions spot as a Sergeant if there's an opening and you can show you'll follow the bidding of the CO unconditionaly.

Wow- piece of advice #1: don't ever use that phrase again . Piece of advice #2: don't run around telling everyone how great you are because you collared alot and went to conditions in a year and never sat on a DOA, and never bla bla bla . Piece of advice #3: when you get to your command, keep your mouth shut, be respectful to the other Sgt's and cops, and learn how things operate before you try and show everyone how awesome your Sgt abilities are and you'll be fine. . Or you could ignore good advice like this and just become the new toolbox rookie Sgt.

How the FVCK can you look a patrol cop in the eyes and tell him how to handle a job when you have never handled SHYT yourself???? No patrol time as a cop = useless boss, period. You have 5 years on the job and have NEVER done a PAR or a missing or sat on a DOA? I would be EMBARASSED to admit that, I would be ashamed. And yet this retard is proud of that! Unfvcking real!! Take a look at all the professional sports teams coaches, they have all played their respective sports at some time and at some level in their lives before becoming a coach. Imagine a career cab driver becoming a coach of an NBA team. WTF

I can get any one of Jerry's kids to make 500 trespass, bag of weed, 511 collars, any retard can do that. Go out there and handle 45 jobs a night, always holding 5, no meal, all while having to fill out 61's, PAR's, aideds, missings, DIR's, AND keep your memobook updated, for the summer months in an A house, THEN come and post here. Moron.

Not for nothing, but it is much easier to make decisions on patrol when you have done it. I don't know you and I'm not judging you, but just the fact that you think that you will get your preference of tours based on your activity as a cop shows that you have a lot to learn.

im in orientation training now after getting out of BMOC. i can probably say whatever tour you want---they will definitely give u the opposite. u have NTOA Syndrome. this disease is known as----- no-time-on-arrogance syndrome---it is highly contagious and spreading viral in all the impact commands city-wide. the so called "losers" on patrol tell the young grasshoppers like urself of this NYPD Bubonic Plague, yet many do not listen. get vaccinated immediately.

Wow conditions with 5 years!!!! you really must of made some good collars!! Dude get over yourself no one cares that you made 511 collars and wrote 30 C's a month or collared the water guy!!!As far as making your cops work, don't be one of those guys that tries to reinvent the wheel because your a boss, because it never works out well especially if you go to a busy house. And I am knowledgeable good luck

yes---i was the guy who was short on credits and thanks to the good cops on this site i got credits from empire and fema to get me in class. i am not trying to say i am better cop---i wasnt born in the us--became citizen, had no hook in department and had to work hard for everything i had. i do this as cop---and i am reaping benefits. i am getting promoted at 5 1/2 yrs and aspire to go up as fast as possible. if u run tax u will see i was collar guy. so i dont listen to people who are angry bc im a worker.

whack my friend, pls take my advice with a grain of salt. Your time on, you activity, your attitude, your score on the exam, MEANS NOTHING!! the only thing that means anything in BMOC is your cranes and when you get to your precinct probably your tour. WITHOUT a good call or a close friend of the admin lt or CO, your tour will be determined by the needs of the prct. I told them i DIDNT want to do midnites but i would do whatever they asked, and they gave me 4 bys bc that was available and bc i had requested that or day tours. Notice my willingness to work really any tour, but in the end i knew i didnt want midnights. Your conditions spot means crap bro. I had weekends off and my activity was awesome. Now, im a freaking rookie sgt whos a glorified sector out there. Most likely, you will be the same unless you get lucky to grab a condition spot or impact but trust me its more the exception then the rule!

Whack, faster isn't always better. Learn your job and learn the job. 2 totally different things. The best bosses weren't necessarily collar guys or summons guys, they looked.at each job and each situation with the totality of the circumstances in mind and came up with a solution that benefited everyone as much as possible before resorting to cuffs or paper.

Im with the boyz on this one.having experience On patrol not only makes you familiar with multiple situations but it can save ur life.i wish i did more time as a cop because now im a detective and have no clue what the hell is going on when i hear some radio runs.patrol is the backbone of the department

Am I missing something or is this kid trying to prove a point...Making a ton of collars doesn't make you a great boss. It's how you treat those around you and working smart, not hard that makes you a better boss. But by the looks of his posts, that doesn't seem to register to him. I've worked with plenty of cops with that same mentality only to see them crash and burn because of their attitudes and lack of common sense. Bottom line, those "patrol guys" you speak of are gonna end up being YOUR cops when you hit Sgt. I wouldn't be talking smack about them...Just my two cents.

My question to collar activity master guy is : How will you instruct and teach impact cops under you how to properly do reports when you havent done any yourself? Or answering jobs? any drone can go out there and write nonsense and collar anything walking. It doesnt take skill at all.

A few things--your list # means nothing to your new command.  If there is a vacancy you will be filling it rookie sgt.  There is no ftu besides the 4 days you get from bmoc.  (I know one sgt who got flown to an outside command on his first day out and his first job was a mos involved shooting.)   When your rookie car gets their first DOA and go "Sarge what do we do?" Your response will be?  When you get a 53 AIS job, you will handle it how?  When you get a heavy shooting, large crime scene and 4 cars available, how will you deploy and supervise your resources?---I'm glad you can collar but that is only a small part of the pie.  I am not trying to insult you, but you better learn the job because the cops on the street will be looking to you for the answers.  Good luck.

You sound like a rookie sgt who has been in my command AND in rank for about 1.5 years. He's a Haitian fella...and he is hated by all including his peers. People like you will learn the hard way...when your cops look to others for answers. You MAY also notice when POSSIBLY one of your peers asks you to meet them in the parking lot for a "discussion".

I personally never wanted conditions, or crime. I never wanted anything in Special Ops office, because I know that admin, and community affairs are the ones that get what they want. Community affairs and admin officer are the ones that get grade and special treatment. So in my mind, why would I want to go out there dealing with the perps, when the ones inside get the extra money. Granted im on the list going the boss route, but the point im trying to make is that the soldiers are fed to the wolves, while the admin team is protected like sheep.

Agree with this as well as what turdburglar and others are saying. Seriously, is this guy just spouting off for fun or does he really believe he's better than everyone because he's "a worker?" I hope this is a joke, I had an inside gig for the past few years, but still don't discredit the value of patrol. Nobody who has the time needed to be a sgt could possibly think this way...then again, maybe, that could be where all the toolbox bosses come from. Please reevaluate your viewpoint or I will feel very sorry for your cops.

Yes, people should do their job, but just because you never sat on a DOA because you were writing guys for riding their bicycles on the sidewalk it doesn't make you a better cop than someone who answered radio runs. If anything the patrol guy is probably a little better off than you in knowing how to handle things.

I think it's wrong to criticize people who land details or work inside. We all take different paths in this job. I don't have much street time. I found out I was pregnant during the last couple weeks of the academy and was placed inside when I graduated. Then a month after coming back full duty from that, I fell down the stairs in the precinct and was limited for a long time due to my injuries. Eventually I was given a spot in crime analysis. I still plan on being a good supervisor. I have been making memobook inserts with procedures written on them for different types of jobs. This way if I get to the scene of something and I'm unsure what to do or if I get confused, I can simply open my memobook and refer to the procedures I have written out. I will then be able to make the right decision every single time. So far I have made 38 inserts which cover the more common occurrances on patrol. I'm not sure how many more I will make, but I feel that I will be prepared for almost anything.

Let us face it, all conditions guys are useless twits who became arrogant after they were usurped into the that wussy unit straight out of FTU. Anyone who dedicates his days to chasing bicycle riders, writing C's to 95 yr olds who pee on themselves because they don't have the ability to hold it anymore and old ladies selling flowers on the corner is no a cop to me. They have no patrol common sense and it is their arrogance that is their downfall. I rather ask a senior guy on patrol for advice on a job than ask a snot nosed newly minted conditions Sgt who believes that b/s collars make the man.

I pity this ass hat.

Turd, i know a few new sgts who walk around with 7 inch tablets with the patrol guide on them. Initially i knocked them for being clueless but when you are new you can not fail if you do the job by the book. Eventually the sgts will learn the real way to supervise but in the mean time it does not hurt to have the book answer for everything. Margeret should be commended for trying to be prepared even though she lacks the street knowledge. I can not knock her for trying. when in doubt, whip the book out.

A lot of u sound like the same dummys I had to deal with in my pct. Older cops who do nothing or idiots who want to be part of crew. I did an excellent job in impact and was number 1 in squad all the time bc of hard work. I was on foot for a month and then had a car for the rest of my time bc I did what I did and beyond. I have 8 mpds and 30 epds for collars I made--what do u have? I went to conditions on merit and was ridiculed and had my locker destroyed for being a cop. I used to laugh bc people used to be mad bc I got whatever day I wanted off and all the ot I wanted and why??? Easy---do ur job. I never had to listen to these idiots bc they will be in a sector car when I am a chief one day. They could have had same as me but they were lazy. I am not trying to make fight but in my country it is bad and america is for the taking. I make the most of it and will reap benefits bc the laziness is rampid. My cops will either work or they will b held accountable. I got credits in a month--it was joke. Do not judge me u do not know me or my situation.

Whack, you sound like that same rookie who was always pissed cause he worked harder than most but could never understand why the senior men got the pick of the litter when it came to assignments, sector cars, lost time and vacation picks. You are theat same weasel who would bitch and moan to the sgt about how your activity was 3X better than the old guys but for some odd reason you were always denied Xmas and Thanks Giving. You were a tool as a cop and you will be a tool as a Sgt. I hope I get assigned to your command so as I can witness first hand how you will bitch and moan about being a worker but watch all your dreams get dashed away due to you time on the job.

For the record I have almost 10 years on the job and I have no medals, I have a lack luster arrest record but one thing is certain I did all my time on patrol. I have seen shiit that would give you nightmares and I am not talking about skelly collars either. While you were busting you hump for minimum wage I was collecting over 100K for just doing the basic job. Nothing more and nothing less. I loved tools like you for you did my job and had the nerve to complain about it...LOL! Your residual anger is derived from the fact that you busted you hump for a measly rookie pay check while I coasted and collected all the perks of a senior man on patrol. You are the epitome of a rookie hairbag and you will get a rude awakening when you try to push the old timers in your squad. Boy, oh boy will you piss your pants.

By the way, I will be a sgt just like you except with one big difference.......I will always pick vacation before you. Seniority has its privileges...LOL!

Held accountable? wow, you must really think that this is a corporate job. Here is a little secret. When a cop hits 10 years on he can give a rats ass about evaluations. I have had steady 3.0 evals for 3 years. Please remind me to look you up after you retire so I can ask you what a 4.0 eval got you....LOL! Look at me I am making boss and I am quite happy doing what is expected of me and nothing more.

You sir are the embodiment of a "TOOL"....LOL!

Good day , sir

When did conditions become better than patrol anyway? I turned down conditions twice, most recently when I had 7 years on. That's a horrible detail in my opinion. Most do 6x2. I wouldn't do that tour if you paid me double. My family is priority number 1, not impressing some rookies or any boss.

Well im glad I know when to open my mouth and when not to. I don't have the patrol experience or the arrest record. I have seen many a retard sergeant and know at least what a fair boss is. Most bosses dont really know everything. But the good ones got the info some how and didn't run around all high and mighty.

FYI arrest records and evals don't matter in a GO or the trial room. Remember that.

Having time on the job is the easiest thing to accomplish. I have a 15 year cop in my house that doesn't know how to run a name... But wow she has 3 hash marks. Only guys that have nothing going for them throw around there longevity. Have another cupcake.
