hey guys---yes---i was let down too. i m not in this group either. what list number are they up to?? #186. They flew all the way to #118 last class I thought I might have shot---no dice. so i get some info from the puzzle palace. their saying 3 more classes for 2012. no july or october as of now and thats pretty solid---any last minute changes i ll advise. the classes will be between 40-50 as of now. they have no intention of these 75 man classes---this was a summer rush and the 1st class thats why that occurred. i had a lot of questions too----im list low 2's so i got some answers for all of us.......why the slow down? because there are a ton of young sgts,not as many retirements,and not enough sgts going to Lt rank. period. they expect a major slow down of the list---so we all have to be really patient. the people on bottom might be in for a long long wait...this is straight from my buddy who has never been wrong with a thing from 1pp. as always----when i get it----u ll get it. congrats to those guys who just went in---scoring well on this test REALLY mattered.
also the bad news i got was that there are a TON of 07/09/07 guys who will be eligible as of 07/09/12 who are on this list. i dont know if it was a really smart class or a lot of disgruntled cops from impact who said i gotta go-----but there are a lot of them coming of eligible time so that will cause another major slowdown. i saw how many there were---its substantial. good luck everyone-----i ll be back on the air when i get some more stuff......
This blows donkey dick smh... So if 3 more classes does that mean back to back aug sept?? If they only put 40 in aug with all the Passovers I'm screwed...
Don't worry guys, your time will come. If you're all cleared and in the top 400 I would say you have a substantial chance of getting made this year. I was shocked at the number of passovers. The guy right across from me from Phase 1 didn't make the June class and he gave no indication that he would have a problem. So half the August class will be guys who just hit the time (if they themselves aren't passovers for another reason) and then it will keep on moving.
Just be patient, the list lasts long enough for everyone to get made. Thanks for the info ontheair.

Would i give it back?? helll noooo! dont wish your life away and in time it will come. Just remember to look and see wat your sergeants do and then either mimmick those things or never do them if they dont work for you. BMOC blows and teaches you answers that look good on paper, the streets are what teach you how to survive and combined with bmoc teaching can give you a strong foundation to sgt rank

another typical internet tough guy...i really dont care if you want to listen to my advice or not. I lay it out there for anyone who wants or need any advice. Obviously you know it all so pls show us all how its done on the "front line"
no prob. Youll be good out there...youre probably going to get that feeling when you first got out on footpost or in a sector car. The OH crap they taught me this in the academy but i have no idea what im doing feeling.Slow everything down to your pace and in time itll just flow. Day two out there has already been alot better then day one
There is 19 people who become eligible up to #186. Who knows how many more Passovers for others issues. The old Passovers will wash the new Passovers. So if 50 is the number for next class I would expect the list to reach 220-130 I hope.
If the class is going to be 40. Worst case scenario. I think it will get up to about 210. Here we go with this crap again. Sucks these classes r going to be small. We gotta wait two months. Which is no big deal at all. What sucks is being so close And still not knowing when it's gonna happen.
This is my first post on this site- I've been checking daily for the recent rumors (I missed this June class by less than 5 names...). Up to list #200 there's 21 who become eligible and will make next class (Assuming no holdups / credit issues / military and so on). Have to figure another 10-12 passovers clear up their issues over next two months (Currently 27 non time related passovers up on list). That's 33 (estimate). Say a class of 45 (minimal), that puts it at list #209-212.
onndee air 3 or 4 classes rest of this year?? August Sept November and December there will be classess according to your sources or just 3 classes rest of year??
All I'm saying is anything can happen in 4 years, any catastrophic event will boost overtime and increase retirement. This is NYC. Sorry, I'm not a pessimest, bit I'm not an optimist blind to reality. I understand that things are going to be slow but even with 10 classes of 50 a year for 4 years, that's 2000 names. Even 8 classes of 50 for 4 years will be 1600. Safe streets guys will retire. Not all of them, but it will happen.
I think eventually even if it takes 4 years the list will run its course and all will be promoted who are/remain eligible. That being said I doubt a test will even be offered for 2-3 years (The Key instructors aren't gonna be happy!). Anyone who blanketly states this list will die either didn't take the test, scored a 69, or is one of the many haters on this job.
I see that Ondeeair is still trying to pass himself off as teh second coming of Brat minus the simple chronic halitosis. Ondeeair, you are rehashing old information. This was already foretold by prior posters who lambasted for daring to say the inevitable.
This list will drag out for what will seem an eternity and I dread the end result. Some will die on this list and that is becoming very clear. I am in the 1000 realm so I pray they reach me before they cut the rope on my dumbed downed counterparts.
Why do you care if everyone does, or does not get made. Why is it even an argument, or an issue of concern. Clearly people want to just stir the pot. There is nothing that implies that not all will be made. No one knows the truth, and that's it. Anything can happen. In reality the odds are in the favor that all will be made. 119 have already been put into BMOC total. If 3-4 classes at 45 on average get put in by January that's 254-299 total by January, which is only 8 months into the first 12 months from activation of the sgt's list for the 2011 exam. Between January and May how many classes do you think will be put in?If it's 2-3 that'll be right around the 416 average a year needed to make this whole list in 4 years. Anything can happen and a list of 1663 is not by any means out of reach to be completely fulfilled. Lastly, when the academy classes graduate expect at least 1 class to be close to 75 again. So, what I'm trying to say is there's no reason to think 100% the whole list will not be made, and people who want to be positive are no less intelligent compared with those who want to be overly negative.
