I'm thinking 500-600. Using the 2006 Sgt's list as an example, that list was around 200 before throw outs. After 4 doubles and 2 throw outs, it only went to 350. If this list is at 150 right now, I think the 18 will add around 500 people. You are talking about tripling the list- that is pretty significant, even if it only brings it to 500. Granted the more you got wrong, the better your chance at picking up the points; I just don't see people in the mid 50's picking up 15 out of 18 to get to a score of 70. I'm guessing the 18 doubles/throw outs will get you the people in the 60's up to the 70 mark. I can't imagine there are more than 500 people in the 60-69 range, when there are only 150 above 70. . . . If it is 5 throw outs and 13 or 14 doubles, do you think the throw outs will be PG and in-basket, and the doubles will be the opinion/management style questions?
I came off that list, and it was just over 600 after throwouts, sorry
Yeah, the January 2007 list was 339, which I believe was the smallest list in the history of the Sgt exam as we know it now. I know there is no list yet, but I think its fair to say if the rumors of extreme numbers of doubles/throwouts prove to be accurate, this list could reach several hundred and people could die on the list. I mean the last Lt list got to what, 700+ and they killed it? And that was a fair exam that had respectable scores.
For this debacle, I think everyone wants to put it behind them and with few Lieutenants retiring there will be less openings. So I think its fair to speculate bc that is all I am doing, that people could die on this list.
I think everyone agrees that even with throw outs this list isn't going much higher than 600 if it even gets that high. That being the case there is no way people are dying on that list. Thats 150 Lt's a year!! I don't even know why we're talking about list dying when there isn't even a list out yet.
Its still all just speculation off of unfounded rumors, but if you tinkered with 1/5 of the test there are a lot of people in the 60's that would make the list, perhaps even a few lucky people in the 50's. The floodgates open- IF this 18/19 throwout/double is at all accurate. This list could very well inflate to several hundred, maybe even a thousand with so much adjusting. We shall see.
Are there enough questions that were unfair, poorly written, or just flat out wrong to have that many adjusted? You betcha. Whomever wrote that exam should get charges and specs, I am sure the trial room can make something up...
Those who frothing at the mouth about, dying and etc, are putting the carriage before the horse. We don't even know for sure when the list is coming out, how big due to the # of throwouts. Keep your wits together and take it one at a time.

I can't imagine that the throw outs and doubles, even at 19, would add 800 people.
Really? Why not? 2800+ people filed for this exam and the rumors on here are DCAS tinkering with nearly 1/5 of the questions, if you just added people based on random luck that would come out to nearly 600 people with no other varialbes added.
Now add in that a lot fo people actually did get up for this test and I know a lot of people stuck in 60's or high 50's from what they are telling me, 18/19 adjusted could easily inlfate a list 800+ names.
Anyway, its just speculation, no one seems to know anything right now, including me!
No one knows how many questions are being adjusted, when the list is coming out, how many are on it, or what questions were changed...
This guy Frank is a nut job. Hopefully we know more info after tomorrow. I don't think anything will come out of the lawsuit. Especially when the grimmy 19's lawyer ask for more money.
3 points to make. 1 - WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 2 - Frankthetank is a nut, how in the hell are you gonna pick up 10 points, your confidence is both foolish and sad at the same time 3 - I wish Sandow was my reading voice inside my head
I have the same info that Stiggy just shared. The two lt's who worked on the protest are done. They wouldnt be informed when the list will come out. They just dont get that type of info period. DCAS has the list now and is responsible for the release of it. And from what i heard from a (reliable source) they are dragging their feet. There not exactly working their azzes off to get the list out as soon as possible. I heard that we should expect the list sometime in June the earliest.
P.S. - when i say reliable source i mean a person who would be in the know. Trust me.

I can't believe there are no rumors floating around. All we have is this guy Frank talking as if he passed with a raw score of 60. Who was the guy that called 1pp and spoke to the cop that just so happened to remember his name off the top of her head. Was it Frank?
