The July Academy class is on hold due to budgetary problems. Some of you really think that the NYPD can afford to hire more recruits when in fact that is a wrong assessment. Sometime in July Mayor Bloomberg will announce a preliminary budget and it is then that we will get the bad news regarding the future academy classes. 1500 are slated to graduate in late June and no mention has ever been made about 2000 going in for July academy. Keep in mind...LESS RECRUITS MEANS LESS NEED FOR SGTS! Do any of you still think everyone on this list will get made?...KEEP DREAMING! Thank god I go in in the next BMOC. If not then the one after that.

I thought they were putting in 2000 in July? I dont remember where I heard that... but would be nice, but i'll wait till someone that can get a little more info on the matter can confirm that
why do people post so much negative stuff??.... do they really care if only certain percentage of 1600's get promoted?? ... u f*king trolls should get a life.. i keep checking this forum for new RELEVANT info and all i see is dumb trolls trying to toss a coin into the future and guess whats going to happen 4 years from now.... -People talking about how the list was gonna get thrown out. -How to join the lawsuit for the extra fitness points. -discussions about new sgt vs. sgt that got "time on" -Guys from the military vs. non military -how ur sqd is gonna turn on u if ur not a good boss. -People telling other people that they will call IAB because they believe they were victims of aggravated harrassment. (if u can't stand what someone says on a public forum JUST LEAVE and DONT COME BACK.) -Several guys trying to give a math formula to justify their theory of the list getting cut.. and people please stop with "the economy this and economy that" and how the city is running on a low budget. remember ALL of us for for the POLICE DEPARTMENT... not the FINANCE dept.... ok sure u watch the news.. "u just watch them but u must likely dont take any part in it".
I would dare to say that Brat4914 (works at the academy) has been posting very good info for the past couple of years and ....... OntheAir, dude i dont know where u work and hell i dont know who you are but u hit the BULL'S EYE 2 times: The day the list was released and the date for the fisrt BMOC class. PERIOD. NONE OF THE TROLLS got a set date and this man (ontheair) got it... what more proof do u want trolls?

I believe brat on this one. There will be a July class. I was hearing well over 900 but beat has better sources. Hopefully it is 1500 or more like I was told. Thanks brat we appreciate the info.
Stiggity visits this forum purely for entertainment lol. I wonder if he's actually a cool guy or a egotistical dick. I guess we will never know. I do however find his posts hilarious sometimes.
