WEDNESDAY!

What I found out. thought it was a strange day,but now it seems correct.

Was told lawsuit has failed and  they are struggling to throw out more questions by tonight to finalize this list.  they are pissed they might have people with raw scores in the mid 50's getting on the list.  was told 19 are doubles/triple answer so forth to make the list of about 950 and there will NOT be a new exam for another 4 years. I say don't blame us , blame the test creators

 So 19 doubles/triple answers doesn't include throwouts?

I hope it's not true. They make 950 passed test and kill this list again after 600s just lik 2006 exam? just throw out another exam in next 2 years.

The 2006 Lt exam promoted 755 candidates during an economic crisis where lt's were not retiring.  It's very possible that 900 can be made from our list.

Not sure but I would think whatever allows the scores to rise a few.just like a curve in college. If u know three questions 80 percent chose B and C, they will give it a double answer just to get the number. Up. And for what its worth no one in the 60,s should be upset. Any college exam if the top score like our exan is an 80 then that score is actuaLly a 100 and a 60 becomes an 80

you can say 755 in 6 years by number of years passed. I'd rather have them make 300 pass this test and throw out another test in 2 years. This way I am sure I d study harder than being the 6-8oo on the list to make a list. Just thought. Good luck.

" struggling to throw more questions out". Really guy? The panel doesn't work that way. Your info is false. Please learn more about these exams before you post nonsense. Thank you

Thanks, so "arguing with the DCAS person" would be complete bullsh1t?  If the 2 Lt's want it thrown out, then it's thrown out?

We've been through this before but here goes.... No one tells the guys on the panel to throw out a certain # of questions or to try and get the list to a certain size. When you're on the panel you're 100% independent and you have essentially no contact with the department. If these guys throw out 3 questions or they throw 20 it was completely thier own decision. So when you hear people say , "THEY want to get the list to 700 names", or "THEY want to get everyone in the 60s on the list"....you know right off the bat the person is either full of **** or they don't know wtf they're talking about. I'm not surewho this mysterious "THEY" are when people spread test rumors, but the only THEY that matters are the 2 Lts from our job and the one dcas rep on the panel...and thier decision making regarding throwouts/doubles is influenced by no one.m

Actually it has not been over for weeks, it ended thursday and the package was sent to DCAS friday morning.

Package? It's not a package, it's a report and it's been over for 3 weeks. Its doesn't get sent either. The dcas rep receives it directly from the panel. Then the dcas guy changes the answer key to reflect the changes. Then the scantrons are rescored. Then the list gets promulgated.

So my fellow Sgts. After all this plotting, scanning, re-scoring and promulgation, who in the Hell has the inside scoop on what's being changed, throwout or whatever??????biggrinbiggrin Can't make this S#@* UP

A little off topic. If a question was left blank on the scantron and it winds up being a throwout, do you get a point for that question?

excellent question. Alot.of people might pick up some points towards the end. But I doubt if that happens.

So literal yes it was a report that was delivered on Friday. So your 3 week notion is not true.  Dont know where you are getting this 3 weeks ago..  The tenative date is this Wed.

Well, I was told from a source in high places that Wednesday is scheduled for the release of the list. I have a feeling this rumor might be fact real soon. Next few days should be real interesting in rumor world.

I think Wednesday would be great!!! My only question is would they release the list, and then add in additional points for veterans credits later? I'm still waiting for that letter my friends, sitting with my 65...and I haven't received it yet! That being said, I'm quite aware that there is a possibility that I will not receive those 5 additional points. However, considering the questions that are up for debate, I happen to have gotten them wrong. I'm eager to see what transpires this week. Either way someone should be getting us some intel within this week about which questions are getting tossed.
