Although I doubt anything will happen today, the old list being dead is a major hurdle cleared, perhaps the biggest of all. Given the impending throwouts, review panels (if they're still ongoing) and the slow pace at which the city moves on these things, I say the list will likely come out early May (I hope I'm wrong and it's sooner than that). Yes retiree Lts have slowed up but on average, since the old list has been active, the dept has promoted on average 20 Lts per month (took since Jan 09 to Mar 12 to make about 750) I say the first class off the new list goes in BMOC in June/July. Any thoughts?
I know cops retiring have slowed up but you have a few big classes hitting not only he 20th but their 25th year. Should be interesting. I just wanna know what the throw outs are. Forget the list for now.
Thank you Smart Cookie for answering my post. This is my first day reading or posting on this blog. I was aware of the forum, but I decided not to partake until today. I am looking forward to seeing the list established. Thus far I am less than thrilled with the level of maturity from our future Lieutenants.
I have never applied myself academically for anything, like I did for this test. When I left the room, I felt like I just wasted 7 months of my life studying. Sgts I know who studied just as hard, failed miserably. I'm just grateful to have made it on the raw score. Good luck to those who need a small boost.

I Heard they're still voting on what questions will be thrown out. That makes it seem like the review might be over but the actual questions haven't been identified to be thrown out. If thats the case we still have some time. Also, I claimed veterans points and havent received any letter to go in. That makes me think that the review is still going on. I scored a 65, and think given the number of throw outs speculated I would of broke a 70. Wishfully thinking on my behalf.
somebody has to have signed up for the session when the panel reads their decisions regarding which questions were tossed and why. I did not sign up for it but I am sure someone here has. When this notification to attend is received, please post it. That will indicate when the review panel is concluded. Until then, I think we have to assume they are still going through the protests.

I did. I filled out a SASE when I attended the protest session. I have not received any notice yet. FWIW, Mike Yano from the Fast Track advised me that they were still working on the protests. This was on Thursday, April 5th.
I signed up with it and haven't received anything. I don't know if the Sgt's exam guys that put in for the protest notification received theirs before their list came out. I know that nobody posted anything about it if they did receive something.

1. I hope you make it..... but....... if enough questions get thrown out for you to make it does it hold up the list so that they can calculate your new score and review your proof?
Nextlt, I think they can't proceed with creating a list until they have adjusted it for the throw outs. There are those who are under 70, who will end up getting a better list # when all points are taken into consideration, than those who already have a 70 or greater.
This is my first post. I passed (by the skin of my teeth.) I have a question only.
Who does the actual computing of, score, adjusted score, time in rank, medals awarded point and military and so on? How do you know its right?
Just curious.
Congrats on passing! DCAS does the computations of the scoring and puts out the list. I would check the score you believe you should have and if it doesn't jive with what is on the list as your score, contact DCAS and appeal it if need be.

I got that, but if you get a letter to go down to 1 center street let us know immediately so at least we will know at least 5 questions got tossed.

Posted a question about this in the Sgt forum. 300 people viewed it with no responses. I'm guessing either nobody got the letter back, or the people that protested didn't make the list and aren't checking this website anymore.
every time i read these treads i get reminded of walking out of my testing site and a sergeant screaming in the air what the f*** is abeyance. good luck to all that need points.
One of the guys from the Sgt's exam that went to the protest informed me that he hasn't received anything from DCAS about the review panel decisions yet, so I guess we can't use that as a barometer for when our list will come out.
