I am doing the math. The rumor is 15 total between doubles answers and throw outs. Let's say you got a 60. Of the 8 throw outs you pick up 6. Now your at 66. So of the remaining 7 double answers, youd need to pick up 4. That is not far fetched at all. And Brat is never wrong.
True especially when throwouts and double answers will be the highly protestable ones.
You just made the case for the unlikeliness of it.
Moreover, how big do you think this hypothetical list would be?
60's would probably be better served by no throw outs at all.

I'm not a math wiz, but you guys are really giving false hope to the guys who scored 60. I have no illusions about it, you're talking about picking up ten out of 15. I'm only picking up 3. we shall see what happens in the few weeks. Its almost over.
Which 3 may I ask? And were they from the judgement questions?
I do have a theory about those judgement questions anyway. I believe that the Lts. that wrote the judgement questions, wrote it as what we would do in real life and not by the letter of the Patrol Guide or giving mind the info provided in the question itself. E.G. - The sick new born question. Common sense and real life is that the D.O. will grant a day off for the officer regardless of the no excusals. As per an exam, this ridiculous exam, the best choice, for exam purposes, was asking the guy if there was anyone else that could take the baby to the hospital. That answer is still attempting to accomplish a C.O.'s directive while somewhat advising or showing concern for the officers problem. As per the proposed key, I got that wrong. But it WAS the most correct for this exam. But Those who got the questions correct as per the writers chosen answers, scored higher that other and would not pick up those points. From people I spoke to, a lot got the judgement questions wrong and are in the 60s, including myself. The bulk of protests are on the judgement questions. When and IF many of those questions are tossed (I hope so) 60 and over are going to jump to the 70s.
Good luck to you and everyone.

I would not be too concern with senior sgts. Judging by my command which has close to 40 sgts, only 3 sgts passed with 75, 71, 71. All of them who have from four to one years in the rank. All of those senior sgts who have five years and up didn't study or ended up with 60 or less. I'm confident that the patter repeats within the rest of commands. I think four year sgts or less will be leading the list.
that isnt true, we are hearing 15 total, and we do not know if this is even true, it might be 8 throwouts 7 doubles, 10 throwouts, 5 doubles, who knows, but it does make a big different if a question is thrown out or is a double.
Disregard NYG he is a negative nancy and happy about the lawsuit even though he got a 66 on the 2011 test and will prob be in the top 50% of the list. He's making me not want to be GMen fan anymore.

I would not give the same 'hope' for someone who has a 60 as to someone with a 65 or better. just for conversation sake, I know of several people who made the 2010 captain list with 63-65s
2010 capt. originally had 66 passers out of 456, that's a 14%-15% pass rate. After 7 doubles, 7 triples and 1 throw out (if memory serves well, pretty sure only 1 throw out) the list became 128, which is a 28% pass rate. Doubling the numbers in turn.

The opposite is true for me, I only got 4 wrong on the judgement questions, and 5 more between the in-basket, math and grammar. Yet i got nearly half of the PG section wrong. I just hope the throw outs come frome there
If someone knew which questions these were we could see how realistic those numbers may be. For instance we know the juv question and in basket question are garbage, don't know which #'s they were though....
There's a flaw in that, I have no idea what the test writers thought when they made up these questions but the first thing the job will do when you fuxk hold say how come you didn't follow the regs? Perhaps there should be another portion of the test that measures you're job iq and how you'll handle situations but asking retarded questions don't make you a better supervisor.
I got 7 out of those 8 questions. So if I hit 3 out of 7 possible double answers, my chances of making this list are far greater thatn hitting the mega millions. Hey you never know!!!!!!!
Everyone I spoke to with half a brain did pretty well on the judgement section. The majority of pple I spoke to, including myself, had trouble with the pg and in basket portion, because it was insanely hard. That's what she said.

I agree, most people did very well on the judgement questions. I was surprised at how many PG questions I dropped when I attended the protest session.

that would make (115 + 300) 415 plus the 241/150 that passed... a list of about 565-656
241 passed, 415 got between 60 - 69 that equals 656. 656 subtracted from 2,000 that sat for the exam. 1,344 scored below a 60.....that's hard to believe.
I remember getting through the in-basket, exhaling, and thinking "Wow, that was tough, now I can get to the PG questions." Then I read the first PG question and said "Oh ****"
if someone could provide that count from a reliable source that would give us an idea of the total amount of people that has a chance of being on the list.

Not true. We do know what they . For the 10th time. The juvenile question is #63. If you got that wrong u will auto get a point, question was a mistake on test writers part.
Question 47. Was a cop getting a cd for going through a red light and getting into rmp accident. Had a Lt giving a cd when it is COs job.
Question 77
Was a question about improving traffic stat conditions and had The Lt authorizing admin OT to prepare for a meeting.
Question 100. Very similar to 77. Had the Lt authorizing admin OT to get paperwork done.

I'm sitting a 60 and know I have a very outside chance, but would love to see all my effort count for something. Feel like I studied twice as hard as I did for my sgt test.
