Supposedly this Esposito chick (no relation to current Chief of Dept.) is the daughter of a former Chief on this job. She is going to die on the list as is. However, Kelly not wanting it to look like nepotism, couldn't outright extend the current list without raising eyebrows. So what happens? A test that is filled with factual errors, mistakes, etc is given, knowing full well the outcome will be a pending lawsuit, thus giving him a way to extend the list without it looking like nepotism, and thus allowing this former Chiefs daughter to be promoted, who otherwise would of died on the list.

Here's a question, where are the promotional schools in all of this? I mean, these guys took hundreds of thousands of dollars from us and have not updated their websites since the test. I know the Captains test is looming but these chiefs and inspectors should keep their students abreast of what's happening, I'm sure most of them know a lot more than us. Never mind the fact none of these schools prepared us for what was coming and kept our money anyway, the least they could do is post a message or update on their website. As for the lawsuit, if it wasn't the NYPD id say this is rediculous but knowing our job it probably will hold up those who fought tooth and nail to pass this test. I passed, and I was pissed at the way they administered it, but I pushed myself every minute of those 6 hours to fight every question into a potential right answer, as many others did. Guess that means nothing.

From the lawsuit "Any determination to change the answer key to the Examination and "throw out" certain questions does not remedy the nature of the October 29, 2011 Promotion to Lieutenant Examination because the format of the test was arbitrary, capricious, and an abuse of discretion in that it provided newly amended and additional subject matters with various reasonable answers which required candidates to devote substantial time to consider these questions which diverted and prevented candidates from devoting the necessary time allotted for the entirety of the examine in order to provide for a competitive examination. Respondents should be restrained from making a new eligibility for promotion to Lieutenant based on the October 29, 2011 Promotion to Lieutenant Examination Number 1534"

What's interesting is that if you read the lawsuit she's actually one of the plaintiffs that signs at the very end.

I love these one way C*nts from the 2006 list, suing on the basis that our 2011 test was unfair. What a crock of ****. Honestly I'm not even mad about the lawsuit it's more the language that upsets me. Their trying to get the 2011 LT exam thrown out KNOWING that Civil Service Law does not justify the extension of their list. That to me is so one way.

Just the mere fact that you have Sergeants of Police in the biggest Police Department in the world crying like 12 year old school girls is sickening, regardless of the outcome. Hopefully none of those people have family on the job from the old days because they will surely be disgusted with their sons/daughters. Lists die, it happens, get back on the horse and try harder next time.

Hey if the lawsuit fails put in for IAB!! Within 2 months you will be promoted to SA!!! You earned it paying a lawyer to delay the 2011 list!!
In order to make SDS in Iab u have to have no time in rank and be embroiled in some huge case with ur name plastered all over the papers as the bad guy because this job can't keep it's mouth shut.

im sure the person who posted to remove the names is part of that bogus lawsuit. unbelievable how obvious it is that the lawsuit is to extend the 2006 list. its been over 5 years with this list... come on already... was the 2011 test a joke??? absolutely... i failed... but lets get on with the list and worry about throw outs and doubles and when the next test will be given. suck it up and keep those names posted it was made public so keep it that way.
