DOES THAT MEAN OUT LT LIST WILL BE OUT IN 2 WEEKS

Well, like I said, nothing is filed yet, so it hasn't happened. There is no date though where it has to happen by (everyone is saying this Friday) - even if the 06 list expires, the court can reverse this if that's what comes out of it. And the lawsuit has to specifically ask for an injunction before s/he is going to grant it. I will get a copy of the complaint once it is filed (it is public information) and will post it.

A lawsuit doesn't stop a list an injunction does and I'm not quite sure if that was obtained.

Most likely, I wonder when they're due in court.

As of 1500 hours today (04/04/12), Corporation Counsel was not served and nothing was filed in New York County Supreme court.

Good info, I believe someone initially stated their court date was March 29th but never heard anything since.  Nevertheless I hope this thing comes out soon.

However, just because they weren't served yet, doesn't mean it won't happen......

As of tuesday a group of sgts from 2006 list was trying to recruit people to  raise the money needed so may not even happen.  They have a petition and needed more people for it to happen.  But you never know hanging on to what ever they can

I believe someone posted that the statue of limitation for any 2006 LT lawsuit expired but don't really know if this in fact is true.  Honestly, I'm not really that concern with things outside my control.  Just wished I new my list number and final score already lol.

I hear you, but I have waited this long a few more weeks or months makes no diffrence to me.  I just feel bad for the people waiting to see if they pick up a point or 2 to pass that is nerve racking

Even with 22 throwouts/double answers our list will probably be in the 700/800 range.

22? That could mean someone with a 50 gets promoted. That would be amazing.

I agree the test was a complete disaster, but that seems ridiculous.  If that's true, then I guess they are legitimately throwing out the unfair quesitons, not just tailoring the list to how many they want.  Good for the guys that actually studied and didn't do well.

You have a good chance of getting it. I think if u have a 63 u still have a good chance of getting a 70%.

I didn't want to say anything because it's just a rumor but a certain chief stated everyone in the 60's will be on the list.  Another person told me (with a source at emd) that there will be 18 throwouts/double answers.  Just relating what I was told.

18?!?!  That's insane.  I'm not doubting your source, I'm just amazed that they would do that.  That will put people in the mid 50's on the list.

Can you shed some light on this topic?

When will the LT list be released?

It was hard for me to believe as well but not that farfetch considering the 2010 Captain exam had 8 throwouts and 7 double answers for a total of 15.

Considering how poorly written the test was, 18 is not farfetched. I went to the protest session and didn't have a chance to review everything but did find about 10 pg questions that were protestable. That's not including judgement questions.

Well if that # is true I anticipate a score in the mid to upper 80's. Sounds good to me

i think they will throw out enough questions to get a list that they want, so they dont have to give an other test for 3 years. i think 22 would give them close to 1000 names.

Doesn't matter if the list is 1000 considering the last person on the 2006 list promoted was # 755. If it gets that high most likely everyone will not be promoted.

Brat is busy studying for the Capt's exam. She posted the other day that she will check her private messages if you want to reach out to her, otherwise she won't be checking the forum. smile

You know what really grinds my gears?

Waiting for the list.    It is time's worst enemy.   It makes the clock handle feel like every second is a minute long therefore extending minutes into hours and hours into days.   It went from tick, tick, tick.   To tick..................(pause)..........................tick...........................(pause)...............tick...........................(pause).        You get the picture.

DCAS is behind this phenomenon making us wait.    Crafty fellows they are.

If I could only get my remote control to work, I could fast forward in time to when they release the list.

And that, is what really grinds my gears.

I hear you, the wait definitely sucks especially when we lack "people in the know" with concrete info.

What can we do other than wait? No matter what happens with this list, the Lt's that wrote this exam should get charges and specs for stealing time in writing that abomination of a test. They didn't understand the patrol guide in many questions, the contradicted the patrol guide in some judgement questions, and apparently didn't proofread the test with errors on the exam.

I will be on the list, but if there really are an extreme amount of throwouts, I might not hold any advantage and could be in the middle or the bottom of a large list if you are just going to curve such a poorly written test. Why did any of us bother studying this stuff to get screwed like this?

Well, most of the stuff studied was not even on the exam. I wonder how many throwouts they will actually have.

Yes it will be very interesting what the department decides to do with this test.  However, the general consensus is that they recognize that they screwed up with this one.

Yes, but more so for the recent LT exam. No interim orders, no questions on line of duty, no questions on department property. Ridiculous.

I did hear 8 throwouts without mention of double answers but if thats the overall number thats pretty low in my opinion.
