Enough with all the list and how many will get made. Our time will come, I can see some of you giving yourself ulcers over things you have no control of. The obvious is the list will be out soon, because the 2009 list is done. As far as how many will get made.......lets just say they made over 1500 Sgts the last 4 years. Nobody can predict how many Sgts will be needed over the next few years. Brat says 1600 passed, her info has been very good so I believe her. But for some to say not everyone will get made....There is no way to make that assesment. Until the time comes be safe and smart while at work. (you should be anyway). And when you get promoted remember what you were and where you came from, dont think because you have stripes now, you are gods gift to police work meanwhile when you were a PO you didnt want to do anything. Patience guys.
My take... Everyone crying with an 80+. Shut the hell up Jesus christ. I've never heard a group of people wine bitch and moan more in my entire life. And as for the list it probably won't come out until shortly before they start to promote off it. Until then get a god damn hobby or better yet get off the damn computer and get a girlfriend.
Edit: BTW I got a raw score 75 and I feel fine. I'm not worried a bit. I figure I'll get made 2-3 years after the list is established. In my case I was hired on military so this gives me time to finish my degree where I am. I'd rather not be the new jack sgt making special requests because I have to finish school.

I agree. People with a 85 are not feeling confortable???? Wtf is wrong with you. Does your entire life revolve around this job??? I feel great personally..
In years passed how many classes will it take to get promoted with 85? I think that's more of the issue. I was hoping to be outta here sooner than later with an 85

Going by the 2009 Sgt Exam which was one of the largest in a few years at 781 names, an 85.9 on that exam put you at around #150 on the list. Which was approximately the 2nd or 3rd class.
Given that most of the recent information on the 2011 list has it at more than double the 2009 list, does that mean its going to take 6-8 classes to get promoted with an 85 on this list? There isn't a person on earth, let alone this Internet message board, that can give you a definite answer. We'll have to see how top heavy this new list is.
Also please don't forget you have a lot of umos who have to wait a year or more to hit five years, before they can get promoted, and some umos who may not have enough credits to get promoted (which may not be many). So you might have many umos with high passing grades that may be passed over for a couple of bmoc classes
