they will just throw out enough questions to make a sizable list............just not too big..........kinda what they did with the list of 64 people who passsed the capt exam......double answered or threw out enough (15) to make 128 list

The original rumor was that 150 passed on the actual exam date of 10/29. An additional 90 cheaters..err I mean "Sabbath Observers" then passed the following week.

Brat's posting lends credence to the latest rumor I heard. I didnt know what to make of it, because I am not even sure the protest review is over or not, but I did hear the list after throw outs was around 360. Just something I heard, not claiming its accurate. Id like to believe if the final number was known, Brat probably would have gotten wind of it by now.

I really hope this 150 # is indeed true. If it is it will benefit everybody who scored in the 60's. There will have to throw out even more questions to get a respectable list. My 68 feels more like an 80 right about now.

Totally agree, that's why I'm a little surprise with the whole lawsuit rumor. You would think one would wait until the list is generated to see if you made it before filing.

If you've ever sat on a review panel you would know, at no point are you told by anyone in a position of authority to throw out a certain amount of questions or get the list to a certain size. 2 Lt's and 1 Dcas representative will vote on the protests. It's totally up to the 3 guys in that room. They could toss 0 or they could toss 15, but rest assured they are not instructed which way to go. Whether 241 passed before throwouts or 150 has no impact on throwouts/double answers.

How long does the process usually take?

Initial transfer is for a month I believe, but if the board finishes early, so be it.

Doesnt ALWAYS happen............ive seen poorly written exams with shorts lists have NO throw outs.......there are many many many different variables involved.

But i would say (in my professional opinion and experience) they will read all protests, throw out what should be. May they throw out some more that are borderline because the list is super short.............sure.
