Ladies and gentlemen this information comes directly from the horses mouth as to when the list is most likely coming out, how many people passed and if everyone will be made or not.

GET YOUR HATS AND BATS PEOPLE BECAUSE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS NOT GOING TO BE PRETTY AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

1.) The list will be coming out In April. This the source is sure of.

2.) The number of people who passed is currently at slightly over 1500

3.) The source verifies that not everyone will be made off this list. Why? Due to the declining NYPD headcount, the need for Sgts will not be in great demand. The source backs his claims by pointing to the fact that during the early 90's there were several huge classes put into the academy under Dinkin's program, Safe City Safe Streets. 1991 was the beginning of the influx of large classes that numbered between 2500-3000 per class. Sadly, these classes are now reaching the retirement age and the source states that early indications are that they are running for the door at an alarming rate. Keep in mind that from 1991-1996 there were 2 consistent large classes per year. Do the math and you will suddenly realize that the need for Sgts will diminish and that the 2011 Sgt's list will be witness to many people dying on said list.

4.) The list has a high number of candidates who scored between 80-88. The source states this is quite unusual and bolsters his notion that some will die on the list especially when said list is top heavy. Keep in mind what the PC stated once before....."WE ARE SEEKING THE CREAM OF THE CROP"

 

 

The above being said, I will give you a hint as to who the source is. He used to be part own of THE-RISING-STAR-PPROMOTIONS. His name is Capt. C******.

What about all the po's that were hired under the safe streets that are now sgts and up and retiring? Plus I would think they would be hiring more cops to replace the ones lost with attrition, promotions to LT etc. If its 1500 I still think a large majority if not all will be made

So you're saying that with mass retirements which include current supervisors in the rank of Sgt AND a steady influx of new recruits going into the Academy, there won't be a need to promote new Sgts? Makes sense to me.

Stating that you or anyone else can predict what will happen 4 years from now regarding a list which has yet to be established is hilarious.

1500 sgts that's fine everyone still gets made!! They finished two lists in 4 years. Sucks if you failed because there won't be a test for a while.

I love it when people on this forum create alternate and secondary screen names to verify the info that they have been passing. Not that its not obvious since the name passing the info only has an initial post. But by the general principles of detection you can tell its all the same person, just look at the screen names : "Sgt4Sure" just like that name that was created after the test came out "Sgt4Life". I mean if you wanna be slick, at least cover your tracks..... some of us on here are detectives.

Why dont you give me the winning lottery numbers while you are it. SERIOUSLY a useless post... someone cant tell you what they think or speculate what will happen and then you post the information as "not a rumor or speculation." If the source is speculation then that just shows the informationis unreliable. COMMISIONER KELLEY HIMSELF CANT TELL YOU WHAT WILL HAPPEN 4 YEARS FROM NOW BECAUSE ODDS ARE HE MIGHT NOT EVEN STILL BE THE COMMISIONER. With that said stfu. If history has taught us anything its that it repeats itself. And reading the 09 forum has shown me that every rumor has repeated itself. On an actual survey thread I posted titled "70 will get you made here is why" I concluded from YOUR posts that the list is 1268 Names. Not a speculation or anything. JUST a poll that COULD be accurate if none of you lied or made mistakes. I HOPE THE LIST COMES OUT SOON IM TIRED OF YOU LOSERS POSTING **** THAT MAKES NO SENSE

I have no concrete knowledge as to when the list will come out, whether they'll cut the list, etc. The only thing I know 100% is that 8300 people sat for the exam and before throwouts, 1500 broke a 70.
