I work in a c house so I'm really not to sure what's better .....if you were a cop that answered 10 radio runs a night or had 500 arrests in 2.5 years ?
What would you guys/gals prefer a boss have ?
i have close to 10 and i have had my fair share of collars---over 400. but---i ve been patrol about 8 and a 1/2 of those--anti-crime the other. there are great cops in both---but patrol works a whole lot harder. Fact. If u cant grab a collar in 8 35---shame on u. yes--they only want felonies--and im not saying everynight. but out of a week---u should be on the sheet a couple times---period. i ve also seen a lot of guys with no patrol experience dont know how to handle or talk to people. i ll take a guy who collars,but handles his sector,doesnt look out for number one,and has been in the trenches on patrol anyday of the week. i have guys in my pct who neva did a day on patrol who have 400 felonies---300 being tamp w evidence or arresting some normal guy with a gerber. disgraceful.
