I did not take the exam.......but I have been involved with these exams for many years. From what I have heard, this exam was one of the most straightforward exams ever given.

If so, the exam will not be thrown out (it is quite rare an exam gets thrown out - even the 2011 Lt exam wont get thrown out).

Most times with SERGEANTS exams.......more people feel they pass than actually do. The actual # may not be as high as one would think given the amount of people who took the test. I could see below 1000.

Unless the list is HUGE (over 2000), the list will not die. The need for sergeants is much higher than other ranks.

Just sit tight and wait till the list comes out. Patience is key with these exams as much as it drives you crazy.

I am sure the list will be out soon after the current one ends.

Most straight forward exam ever giving yet you can see the list under 1000? Come on Brat..... Dont sugar coat it and tell them the truth. Theres no way in hell this list is under 1000.

The reason for this is that the SERGEANTS exam is taken the least serious of the 3. Soooo many people either dont study at all or dont realize HOW HARD you should study and they drop it. By the time you become a sgt and a lt you know the deal and you have a higher pass ratio.

PS - i wouldnt be surprised if it were less than 1000 (i dont know any solid numbers)

HB, come on brother respect her opinion, I respected yours. I'll admit the wording of the questions was straight forward, meaning they weren't out to trick you like past exams. Though the material was just as hard as past exams. Brat isn't the only one who wouldn't be surprised if the list is under 1000 names so we'll just have to wait and see. BTW nothing is the truth until the list comes out.

If I told u 800 people passed and the list was coming out tomorrow, you'd be telling me I was the greatest guy in the world. You guys drain the bag of whoever comes on here and tells you what you want to hear. I don't know why this gets you guys angry but it's the truth...prior to throwouts, over 1500 passed. That's right, if you add up the 600 who passed Jan '06, the 300 that passed Jan '07, and the 700 that passed Jan '08, you would get the 2011 list. I'm not saying that takes away the legitimac of your exam, but for some reason that is your interpretation.

I know bosses who are just like him. And I make it a point to show them up. Hes exactly whats wrong with this job, and is the definition of an empty suit.
