Ok, so this topic has been a very touchy subject for obvious reasons.
As we all know, prior to getting the okay for promotion we have to undergo a round robin to be cleared. The following are all of the things they look at:
Pending investigations
CCRB'S
Force monitoring
Sick record
pending c'ds
media sensative cases (shootings, arrests etc that are negative publicity)
performance monitoring...
If you have been passed over, what channels do we have to find out the circumstances of being passed over?
I read some place in this forum that they are only obligated to tell you a reason only after the third time they passed you over (at least for "pending investigation" that is). Maybe your delegate can make some phone calls and find things out for you.
I'm sure u'll b okay for January though, u can't b that unlucky quagmire...will cross my fingers for u too.
You really don't know if you are cleared. That's the worst part. For the most part, most of the people that got passed over had one issue or another prior to thier list number being passed over.
One of my bosses said, if you were going to be a pass over you would more or less know.
I was notified for my phase 1 the day after my incident and I was still passed over too. I'm hoping things have cleared up for the next bmoc. Good luck to allon the list. Quagmire, just keep your nose clean and hopefully we will see eachother in january.
Just wondering if any of you guys who were passed over and received those letters from EMD with item 1 marked three times have it happen for a third time? What happens when item #2 is marked? Any insight?
What's all done? The investigation, the hold over period, your chances of being promoted. I've heard many people give their opinions. Just wanna hear what the posters have to say.
What about those at the end of the list who haven't been passed over yet?!? As I heard, through this sight through the years , is that the list expires 4 years from when it was announced they would start promoting off the list, even if they started another list....if you do get passed over for whatever, remember everything happens for a reason and the next rank isn't always peachy

No idea how many aren't going to make it, but a few will not be promoted, I believe it will be there third time being passed over. This list will be closed, and they will be SOL, unfortunately. If you knew the type of stuff they did though, I doubt many would feel bad for them. Some of them should be fired, let alone being considered for promotion.
