Since the protest is over i figured ill ask my fellow Sgts how many throw outs or double answers you think we will get. In my opinion if DCAS is fair there should be 10 throw outs/ doubles at the very least.
At least 10, no lower. this test was filled with many errors on part of the writers trying to be a too tricky and not understanding the procedures themselves.
21 and 67 should be double answers as well. I don't think they will throw out #10 but #13 is a definite.

That would be a shame. I know lots of people had the right answer for #10 but changed it once they realized what the answer for #13 is. The TVB could easily argue that we should answer the questions in order and shouldn't have went back and changed anything, therefore its on us.

You know I didn't think of that your right. I happened to miss one of the PO's at traffic court and put him down which probably saved me from changing my answer.
Don't forget #20 (or maybe it was 23)- total throwout. That is when they referred to PG 207-52, which does not exist. It was supposed to be IO 52 of 2009 in PG 207 Series.

Wouldnt also the 2 questions with the mis-spellings get automatically thrown out also? The one with "don nt" and the map question with the mis-spelled street name in the answer choice where it had "adams" instead of "adam" like it was on the map??
#4 inbasket, mobilization point C/D, #89 E-Day C/D, # 28 ID theft/Petit Larceny B/D, #47 Dept Vehicle Accident A/C , #21 prisoner med. low blow cheap shot- still protested to throw out... chances are very slim. #40 Accident on Bridge( throw-out), #29 PAR/Amending+Complaints (throw-out) because broken hand is not serious injury and we don't refer C/V to other command to report crime. (refer complaint not complainant!), #45 Suspected child abuse 215-03 ... inappropriate for platoon commander who is on patrol to do A- direct PO to call IRT B- direct po to call State Registry DOUBLE ANSWER: A/B, $$$ Aided case was routine sick in nursing home ... was not (Injured, Cardiac, DOA and etc is open to interpretation, A/D or throw it out. NOW GOOD LUCK TO ALL WITH THIS.

89- had only one right answer, give him the day
28- one answer. Black and white from the crime reporting guide (I dropped it)
29- the one time you refer the complainant. Penal law considers broken bones spi, and so do I
26- a lady almost choking to death is not routine sick.
Either way it is not routine sick. People are mixing up routine sick at HOME with situations in a nursing home when pd doesn't even respond (I.e. 911 codes it in such a way that an RMP isn't even dispatched)
By the way, I dropped a ton of questions. Not trying to discourage anyone just pointing out some facts from talking to other guys at work.

The entire test was an example of perfect, straight forward, fair and black & white test. But imprudents who wrote this test did the best job screwing almost every question. Broken hand doesn't necessarily mean broken bone, joking doesn't mean heart attack, asking cop if he has another family member available to take baby to a hospital whereas none of choice was to deny him an eday after you saw a finest message was posted on desk saying no excusal for 6 tours. PG or Crime complaint reference guide does not have any limit to differentiate between id theft and petit larceny and so on ... These are my arguments regarding above questions!

Question 28 - Identity theft did not ask you to use the patrol guide or Compliant reporting guide. It said"according to the complainant's report of lost or stolen property/Identity theft"
They were asking you to use the form that the complainant prepares to answer the question. This is a good question to protest as the form does not list criteria for classifying the complaint.
