It was written poorly. Everybody was spot on about double 8's on the calendar and misspellings.
IMO, some people are hung up on questions they won't overturn. But there are plenty of questions to protest.
I protested 4. People protested more and less. DCAS really doesn't know what they are doing there. You can talk with one another. Make sure you bring your P.G. I was surprised that I got #4 wrong (mobilization) and don't have the necessary sections to protest it.
Also, make sure you demonstrate why YOUR answer is just as good as, if not better, than the proposed one.

I protested 7 questions 3 from the inbasket alone. Someone mentioned during my protest that questioned 39 referenced an interim order not in existence. Question 10 granted PO Williamson an eday but yet he/she was the correct answer choice for question 13 ( hospitalized prisoner). So if enough people protest I'm pretty sure 10 and 13 will be throwouts. I also protested the dept vehicle accident, the 53 on the bridge, umos in proper attire (I chose tattoo and it was incorrect), and pins question.
You can go anytime between the listed times on your letter. You can bring whatever you want, and can talk amongst each other. No electronic devices but they aren't searching you either. I protested 8 questions and it took me 3 hours, so make sure you leave yourself plenty of time.
I protested 7 total, number 63 is the PINS question and should be a throwout, the other 6 I am hoping for double answers. Also the PG section, most of it was correct, but overly tricky, some obscure procedures in what they went to (preganant female, operation safe store, grafitti guidelines, etc.), but very tough to protest.
I am already at a 73, so if by the grace of god I got all 7 I protested, I would get a raw score of 80. The other 20 I got wrong, I dropped the ECB calendar question, can't fight it, I dropped one of the Standard Proper English questions and that question could be appealed for putting the words "Activity Log" in capital letters and they didn't like that you used neither and nor in the same sentence, double negative makes a positive? I picked acted "differently", so I think I am up shyt's creek on that one. I got one judgement question wrong that I didn't feel I could protest since I had nothing to reference or debate about other than my opinion wasn't the same as DCAS. The rest were all PG questions, they were tough and some were very trick and vague, but it was tough to prove they were factually wrong...

That's what I noticed after reviewing the exam that most of the PG questions were very difficult to protest. I ended up protesting 7 but most were inbasket quesitons. After reviewing the test I can't see how they can possibly throwout 10-15 questions unless they get rid of the judgement questions.
I protested 12 questions. I hope four will come through. Ill post the questions I have protested once I get home. I can tell you that question number 50 can't be challenged.
I agree with the general consensus that the patrol guide questions are going to be difficult to protest. other than the PINS question, and maybe the dept vehicle accident which seemed to test the CO's duties (but that's not really clear either) I don't see any sure bets for PG questions getting double answers or being tossed. A couple of in basket questions and a couple of judgement questions have a good chance though. I protested 8 questions all together.
It just sucks realizing that not as many PG questions questions as we all thought can be protested!!! Damn it! Guess when you're not under pressure and you get to read it under different circumstances it becomes clearer!!! OH ****!
Sorry for the delay. Just getting to a computer now. Protested 13, 47, 52, 57, 61, 71, and 89. The subjective opinion questions are very hard to argue in that while dcas can't prove their answer is more correct than yours, you in turn will have a hard time articulating why your answer is more correct than theirs. It is possible but I can't see them going overboard with admitting how badly they screwed up this test. Question 13 is most likely a throwout or double. It had PO Williamson as the relief at the hospital. The proposed Key had Williamson as the correct answer for an Eday in question 10. The heading for the start of the test says to answer questions 1-17 IN ORDER, therefore making Williamson no longer an option for the Hospital Post because you gave him Eday in question #10. One of the other cops was limited leaving you with 2 po's both with traffic court as your options. Of those 2 POs, 1 was supposed to be in a sector with Williamson prior to the Eday being granted. I don't see how they can say either of the 2 cops at AAB are not the correct choice. My guess is Throwout because they can't take Williamson off the proposed key as correct and it isn't possible he is the correct answer as stated in proposed key. Question 47: Dept vehicle accident. They asked for Patrol Sup duties. 3 of the choices had some sort of finding of fault or recommending of training. The last choice was no fault and no further action. I argued it as Captain or above duties outside scope of the position we were testing for. Question 52 was Tattoo Guy vs. Hair Clip Girl. Should be double answer. The other 2 po's were clearly out of uniform. Question 71 was the Math question about the most productive squad. The argument I made was based on the dictionary definition of Productive vs. the dictionary definition of Productivity. Productive in the dictionary mentions nothing about efficiency, Productivity does which is clearly what the test writers had in mind when including the amount of cops per squad and tours on patrol. I made the argument they only asked for most productive which would be the squad that produced the most. Question 89 was the EDay question. Made the argument that by asking if the officer requesting had family to take sick kid to the hospital was not denying him the day but rather trying to problem solve between finding the solution to not disregarding the finest msg saying no excusals and getting the kid medical treatment. I also went on to say if the PO was unable to find family to take kid the EDay could have been given, essentially going through a process before just giving the shop away and granting days off. This argument could be made for any of the choices such as had you consulted the next platoon boss or asked other boss for advice etc. Hard question to argue as were most of the opinion questions. Question 57 or 61 was the duties of the ICO in regards to AAB appearances. The question asked "all of the following MAY be duties of the ICO except....." I made the argument that the answer choices were not MAY be duties, but rather MUST be duties except of course the one they had as originally the exception. Grasping at straws I know, but worth a shot. Not sure what number it was either 57 or 61. When I remember I will post. And will Post the other I protested if it comes back to me. The 311 question may be protestable on the grounds that the Garbage piling up in front of the elderly ladies house is a safety concern and maybe not just a referral to 311. I didn't protest it due to time constraints. Think it was #23 or #25. Other protests made at the session that I am aware of were PINS, Aided at nursing home, Voucher, and a few others that are slipping my mind. Not sure how strong the arguments were, but there were some sharp people in there who actually passed this mess making the case for a lot of these questions. Sorry for the misspellings and terrible grammar.
If you count 21 days from a calendar that says 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 8 9 10 and still land on the correct answer as would when you add 21 to 8 on a calculator then something is wrong with you. We can get this question tossed !! Stop saying this question is a given because it's not, they screwed up big time.
Question #61 was the temp removal of property from the command. I argued essentially for a triple answer. The Question asked which of the following do you do Except.... 2 of the choices were to document the return of the property on rear of invoice or in property receipt book. the other exception was the correct choice as per the proposed key which I think was staple the receipt in the property book. I argued that, in the scenario presented, the Desk Officer could not document the RETURN of the property on either the rear of PCI or in the property receipt book because the property was not returned but rather retained by the court, making the options of documenting the Return anywhere as bad options. The question was looking for the bad option and there were 3, A C an D I think. I think I argued it properly but if someone else needs #61 this one is ripe for an argument.

Only people that did not know the procedure got that question wrong. 1+21=22 no matter what. I don't doubt they will throw the question out but if you knew the procedure you wouldn't have even looked at the days between 1 and 22.
