A silly/selfish question

Is there a point to protest questions which could be throw-outs if you already have a passing score - i.e. the PINS question? The way I see it, I have nothing to gain if everyone gets the point.

No point for you to protest a question like that, unless you wanted to try and help out a friend. If you plan on going to the protest, you should protest questions that will help to boost your score, and in turn, will end up helping others anyway if your protest is successful.

I believe the question asked who dont you make an arrest report supplement for a PINS. they asked a stranded, intox, and under 16 in house of pros, and the last one I cannot remember.

the procedure they seem to have gone to was: A COMPLAINT REPORT WORKSHEET (Juvenile Report caption checked off) and a

JUVENILE REPORT SYSTEM WORKSHEET are prepared for a juvenile at least seven (7)
but less than sixteen (16) years of age for:
a. An act that would constitute a crime if committed by an adult except for those
acts listed in step 4 of P.G. 207-01, Complaint Reporting System
b. Violations committed by juveniles
c. Person in need of supervision (if under sixteen (16) years of age) as defined in the Family
Court Act, (Section 712, subdivision a); Advise civilian complainant of right to seek a
petition in Family Court

Members of the service will prepare an ON-LINE ARREST REPORT SUPPLEMENT
WORKSHEET (PD224-1516) when a person in need of supervision is sixteen (16) or seventeen
(17) years of age.

d. Intoxicated juveniles
e. Juvenile under sixteen (16) years of age found in a house of prostitution
f. Stranded juvenile
g. Runaway juvenile
h. Juvenile unlawfully present in a licensed premises
i. Juvenile apparently under the influence of a dangerous drug, e.g., heroin, cocaine,
morphine, opium, marijuana, amphetamines, barbiturates, hallucinogens
j. Traffic infractions - bicycles - persons over seven (7) but less than sixteen (16) years of
age
k. Missing person, at least seven (7) years of age but less than sixteen (16) years of age.

I think they read the procedure wrong thinking that you pepare a ARS for letters d-k. not realizing that

Members of the service will prepare an ON-LINE ARREST REPORT SUPPLEMENT
WORKSHEET (PD224-1516) when a person in need of supervision is sixteen (16) or seventeen
(17) years of age.

^^ is still part of letter c. in the procedure.

god i hope im right, bc i need that ****in point! Does Dcas ever change a question's answer completely? Can we actually lose a point. For example. question 10; I gave williamson off. yet in question 13, he was needed for the transport. Could DCas say williamson was the wrong answer and switch it competely not giving a double answer and actually taking the point away from anyone who chose williamson?

PINS question asked which person in need of supervision (PINS) do you NOT prepare an ARS for and the choices were:

a) 16 year old intox (might be choice c)
b) 16 year old found in house of prostitution (definitely choice b)
c) 16 year old runaway (might be choice a)
d) 16 year old stranded (definitely choice d)

B was erroneously chosen as the correct answer using 205-08 (e) b/c of the "under 16", and apparently the exam writers associating d-k with the ARS line above it. However all these answers are bad since d-k has absolutely nothing to do with the 16/17 year old PINS exception. d-k exclusively refers to CRW/JRSW as does a-c. All answers are bad due to the fact that they are all 16 and therefore all require an ARS b/c a 16/17 is not a juvenile and therefore does not get a JRSW. That's the long and short of it.

If this question/proposed answer somehow stands with DCAS choice, there is something fundamentally wrong with the protest system. It's a bad question with no correct answer amongst the choices and I have convinced myself of that.

so DCAS says the correct choice for #10 was Williamson, yet in #13 he is the correct choice for transport, clearly these two question were written so poorly they contradict each other and should both be tossed.

Williamson was an incorrect choice for #13.

Are you sure about the ages, I don't think they were all 16 years old

I know for a fact I did not choose williamson for the transport, I got 13 wrong. I also know that my buddy originally gave williamson off but went back and changed #10 and denied williamson because he was the only good choice for #13. He has #10 wrong and #13 right on his answer key. I believe these two questions must be thrown out. Does anyone have #10 and #13 both right on their answer key?

TRYAGAIN, how was Williamson the wrong answer? Williamson was choice B and that is the answer on the key. In question 13 two Officers were going to AAB, one was restricted, only there was no star next to his name on the roll call you had to see it on the exception page or the command roster, thus leaving Williamson as the only correct choice. Either question 10 or 13 will have to be changed.

Since it was an In-Basket and question 13 would have to respect your choice for question 10, and vice versa. I would think they would both have to be thrown out. The only other some-what viable choice would have been the guy was was on the low comp-time list. Your not allowed give lost time or vac time to him without approval of CO. I cant see how this could be a double answer, they both would have to be thrown out.

I thought I picked Williamson for both. I got 10 right and 13 wrong. I figured that way at least I knew I got one of them right rather than both wrong. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Just returned from the protest session question 10 granted Williamson the day but he was the same officer sent to the hospital in question 13. I protested question 10 cause I got it wrong. Should be a throwout on both questions.

More on PINS:
PINS is a designation given by a Family Court Judge pursuant to the Family Court Act. Juveniles with a PINS designation get a juvenile report. 16,17 year olds with a PINS designation get an arrest report supplement.

A stranded 16 year old gets neither. A runaway 16 year old gets neither. A 16 year old in a house of prostitution gets neither, etc... PINS & arrest report supplements has nothing to do with any of the answers.
