four tasks in order

does anyone know what number or the correct answer to that question that gave you four tasks (a missing 9 yr old, a sick prisoner, a meeting in 2 hours and an annoyed community council member) and you had to put them into the right order. I haven't seen any talk about that question and I don't know if i got it right but I would like to fight it. any opinions.

I think that was a question near the end of the inbasket. Somewhere between 14-17. Funny it was in the inbasket when clearly it was a judgement question.

I'm not sure what question that was but I remember choosing the missing 9 yr old first. My reasoning was that the desk should have gotten a bus for the chest pain prisoner. And don't they tell you that as a Lt you're supposed to delegate stuff? I see no reason why I as the Lt would have to do the deal with a prisoner w/chest pain. On the other hand, PG 207-23 says that the Plt Cmdr has to respond to missing (and since I was on meal and was temporarily unavailable, the PS/Det will start the search pending my arrival)

I dont think that is correct. A prisoner with chest pain would be done first. He could be having a heart attack and that would take priority first over a missing 9 year old out in the field.

NYCOP80, I understand what you're saying but you're missing my point. It doesnt state anywhere in the PG that the PltCmdr has to deal with that chest pain guy. Most cases these things are handled by the DO. But the 9yr old kid it DOES say that the PltCmdr has to respond. So my argument is why isn't the DO handling the chest pain guy?

The Lt. was the DO in that question

No I'm pretty sure that he was coming off meal and there was another DO?

The LT was the DO returning from meal.

i put that he has to handle the chest pain prisoner even if he just delegates it to the sgt to handle, he is still addressing that issue first. as far as the missing 9 yr old. they will start the search without him and then when he gets there he will take over

Basically there was no patrol guide procedure to follow to answer that question, another cheap judgement question

Agree! how would you address this cheap shot? How can they tell you you're wrong, when there is no such thing in the PG (or anywhere else where I'm aware of) that specifically states handle jobs in this order..

i could make an argument for almost every one of these answers....
-missing, you must respond if you are available. the time you were on meal was the time that you were already "temporariliy unavailable"

-chest pain, handled by DO that was already there (part of delegating)

-maybe i should handle the affluent member with the gripes first and leave the DO handling the chest pain, PS handling the missing...

you have a good point there neco, but the sgt is a retard for even bringing it up. this question was really fcked up as was the entire test.

The stem of the question stated that Sgt Perez came up to the Lt who had just came off of meal and told him of a few issues thats happened while the LT WAS ON MEAL. One of the issues was that a prisoner was complainin of chest pains. My protest for this question is if the prisoner was having chest pains while the Lt was on meal as per the prisoners section of the pg the desk officer who was covering the lt for meal would have to call a bus and make sure he gets medical attention. Not wait for the lt to get off of meal for him to handle it. I put go to the missing 9 year old first because technically the DO shouldve handled the prisoner before the Lt came back from meal. And yes in the stem of the question its states that the chest pains happened when the Lt was on meal. That sentence made the question protestable!
