Very true punisher even the spacing is way off compared to past answer keys But we won't know for sure until next Monday maybe it is official and they just rushed it together just like the test and did a crappy job until then good luck to all
Take with a grain of salt then. Don't be surprised if this is real though. It was received yesterday which means probably mailed out Thursday. What do some of you think, the answer key is hidden away in some vault and that no one has access ????????? No, its probably around DCAS somewhere and maybe mailed out by accident.
As far as the typing goes and off centered, what do you think? Its a copy probably. What do you think DCAS has the greatest copying machine in the world. They are a city agency with most likely a ****ty copying machine like the rest of the city agencies. Who knows? I got it and passed it along to a few. I am leaning more towards its genuine though knowing who received it and how.

SteveC- do you have the envelope with the USPS postmark? Forgive the skepticism, but it's very hard to believe that DCAS accidentally sent you the answer key.
U have to smile at the EDP that typed this up. They even marked it to make it look like they checked their answers against it too. They made themselves fail too! LOL. Love the dedication.
punisher..im the tool your speaking of. you dont have to believe this is the real key or not. but the way i recieved it IS! i paid a dollar at dcas this past monday. and my scanable score sheet was mailed to me yesterday. even i was surprised to find the answer sheet attatched to my score sheet. maybe you dont wanna believe that you failed this test but let other people decide for them selves.
y wouldn't it b real. based on the stapled test that dcas prepared for us.....who is to say that this answer key is just as lame as the stapled/not collated test we got????
This bull**** answer key image is fake, saying somehow DCAS mailed it to some tool with a copy of his answers. If you look at this image which I did carefully and analyzed it with the most recent SGT answer key you will notice numerous discrepancies, Ill list a few:
- The #'s 1,2,3,4...etc are centered in the middle of the cell not aligned to the left like in all previuos answer keys.
- The actual answers are not BOLD and also centered more to the right than to the left
- The image says "Proposed Answer Key" the SGT's says "Proposed Key" (although some older keys do say "proposed answer key")
- The first letter of the word "Promotion" in all previous answer keys is bigger than the rest of the word even though its all capitalized, same thing goes with Lieutenant, Police, Saturday, October ...etc
I can probably go on and find more... but I wasted enough of my time. If it helps you guys than it was worth it.
Bottom line this is a ADOBE PHOTOSHOP image, and the idiot couldn't even get that right. I checked it against numerous DCAS answer keys.
IMAGES ATTACHED !!!! CHECK FOR YOURSELF!!!
JUST WAIT THE 9 DAYS !!!! GOOD LUCK TO ALL !!!!
Would someone go through that much trouble and spend that much time making something up?
If so, then you need a freakin' life.
If it's real, then DCAS is full of idiots (which I think we knew already).
Either way, you're probably better off enjoying Thanksgiving and black Friday and waiting 8 more days.

Amazing !!!! Fake rumors and lies are one thing but a crappy photoshop of a fake DCAS answer sheet is going way too far. What's wrong with people on this job????? Unbelievable.

SGT4LIFE, I know a guy who works with you and he is a stand up guy and he said you do not bull****. I believe him and he told me you received it directly from DCAS. I believe him since he would not bull**** me.

stevec... thank you . i have no reason to lie and i am not the one who posted the sheet on this website. i compared my answer key to someones proposed answers on rising star and it was not off by much. as for the reason i recieved it , i am guessing a poor mistake on dcas personel.
DCAS make a mistake? No, really. Like putting out the 2008 list without adding medals or seniority points while guys in BMOC got sent back to cmd to wait six months, or send out your results with your right name and address but someone else's social security number.. Oh wait that happened to me. DCAS would never do such a thing!

I got a 72 on this new "DCAS MAILED" answer key, but I got an 80 on Gamblor's spreadsheet answer key (64+8+8= 80, high+moderate+low= 80). So its not THAT far off, it could be real?
If u compare the two keys there are only a few answers that are different. It's amazing people wouldn't put money on answer keys we construct but call this "proposed answer key a joke, when only a few answers are off.
i believe u steve and sgt4life1776. people cant accept they failed. i hope they take that negative energy and turn it into positive and protest. if the captain test can have 7 throw outs and 8 double answers because lieutenants fought, then many of us may still have hope. don't get upset with one another. its DCAS who caused this frustration.
Im not suprised at the result i got which was a failing grade, but did anyone else get a streak of wrong answers?? I got 10 in a row wrong from 20-29 and 7 in a row wrong from 34-40!!
I don't wanna throw fuel on the fire, but if you look at the January police administrative aide key, it's exactly like the picture posted. Answers are in the center and they are not bold. Also it sais "proposed answer key" on the top. All these keys look different, check it out for yourself. This thing may actually be real!

No it is not.

I don't know if this one is real, but DCAS must have changed the font size of their heading since releasing the Sgt. exam key. The "S" in Saturday, "O" in October and all the numbers are larger than the rest of the letters but in this version, all letters and numbers look to be the same height. I hope it is BS, I lost 7 points to a 66.
I find it hard to believe that DCAS would mail out the answer key, but as for it looking real, take two minutes and go the the DCAS website. Look at all the proposed answer keys from exams given in June of this year. None of them seem to follow the same format. Sometimes the numbers are centered, sometimes they aren't. Sometimes there is a period after the number, sometimes there isn't. On one of them, the words "Proposed Answer Key" aren't even centered on the top of the page.
This won't make people change their mind on whether they believe it or not, but I don't think you can discount it solely on the idea that it doesn't look similar to another answer key.
Wereinbacklog- Congrats you are at the top no matter what I just wanted to challenge the validity of this key by reminding everyone of the two "confirmed" posts a few weeks back. Either way this plays out as another epic chapter in this horror story of an exam!

lol, more to come. The aftermath of this thing will last careers. Its a shame they had to do us in like this.
