Trustee confirms exam investigation

For what its worth, a trustee was at our daytour rollcall today.  He confirmed there is an investigation regarding the exam and highly recommended for everyone to cease talking about it.  He further stated that if the investigation leads down a certain road, the exam will most likely be thrown out. I thought this was all b.s. but I guess not.  Anyone else have anyone address their roll call today?  I'm not sure if they are hitting the roll calls or if this was just a casual visit.

This is my first time taking this exam and I'm already disgusted. Instead of everyone losing their minds over this nonsense, you can simply call DCAS. The number is 212-669-7280. I called myself, and was told by "DCAS PERSONNEL" that this test WILL NOT be thrown out. In fact I was told that as of Wednesday, 10-19-11 the tests aren't even graded yet. I suggest that if anyone has any kind of concerns, make your inquiries to DCAS. No one else knows ANYTHING. I've posted the number, feel free to call.

Tell me your command and I'll call and ask a cop there if it happened, and guesss what I too just called and I quote DCAS responded "there is no investigation at this time". Some kind of moderator should now ban these accounts.

Listen, I am not a troll. Yes this is my first post, you are such great detectives. I have been reading this board for quite some time and only posted because of what was said at roll call today by a trustee. Don't kill the messenger!

little heads up if they cancel this test DCAS will have a 9000 cops submitting lawsuits ... dont think they will do that. Instead they will change things for the next test so phones are not brought in. Never mess with a cops money!

9000 lawsuits if the test gets cancelled? Big freaking deal. Those lawsuits will be dead on arrival. When it comes to examinations, DCAS must follow a set of rules that are set forth in Civil Service Law and other laws. You're not gonna win a lawsuit on sour grapes. If the test gets cancelled because the integrity was compromised then thats the reality of the situation and they have every right to do so. If you read the article I posted, when the nyc transit police sgt's test was thrown out, a bunch of people sued including the black officers of whom were the reason why it was thrown out. Well after many years their lawsuits were thrown out and the lawsuits did not stop the dept from giving another exam and hiring off it.

I took a look at the newspaper article... It says "They got the answers before the test was given"... That my friends is a BIG ISSUE with big disciplinary charges... Unlike in this new test.. Any way... I will more worried about the list getting cut at a certain score than the BS story of the test being thrown out...
Besides... Why wouldn't u give ur command? No one in this forum knows ur real name. BACK IT UP BUDDY!!! MAN UP AND TELL PEOPLE WHERE U WORK... So we can start calling our friends and find out if this "Trustee rollcall speech" really took place.
Once again be safe everyone.

Oais I see your point but cheating is cheating and if the huge number of cheaters is confirmed (over 35 caught citywide and more to come)then why do you assume that those who really studied and failed would remain idly by and not file lawsuits. Do you see my point? If the investigation does not kill this test then the huge number of lawsuits by those who failed will kill this exam. Something wicked this way comes.
