I was asking one of my neighbors, who works at DCAS, if he heard anything about our exam regarding the rumors of widespread cheating, etc. He doesn't work in the area which deals with examinations so he asked a friend of his who works in a division called The Division of Citywide Personnel Services, which is responsible for the administration of exams, certification, etc. He found out that the exam is indeed being investigated and is basically in limbo. He said it's too early to tell whether action will be taken such as throwing it out or if indeed the list will be certified and established. So I guess we're basically in a wait and see mode to see what is or isn't uncovered regarding widespread cheating and other problems. He promised he would advise when he had new info. He also said everything is being kept hush so don't bother calling because they are just going to deny it. Lets all keep our fingers crossed and hope for good info in the days ahead.
That is a good point. Thats all we can do. Nothing in life is ever guaranteed. I just hate not knowing. It's bad enough not knowing whether you made the list or not. Now we have to worry if we will have to retake the same exam next year if this gets thrown out. :(
I remember in 09 a lot of edp cops who failed the test would come on the thread and make stupid comments. I never really understood the point of it all but I always wonder.

i know, its hilarious. His neighbor works for DCAS. Anyone who was at those tests know what kinda person works for DCAS = CRACKHEADS. You live with a bunch of crackheads weekend duty chief. haha
My neighbor that works with Weekend Duty Chief told me that not only is WDC not a duty chief, but hes a failure of the last 3 Sgt exams and a fixture at Central Bookings every night transporting 15 perps. Hes also the guy you see who always pops up at the worst details within your own pcts because hes not wanted at his own command.
F - all of you. The only crackheads at DCAS are the ones who answer the phones and make you believe whatever they tell you. Yes I DO have a neighbor who works there. He works for facilities management and construction. He never claimed to know anything about this exam. He works in a totally different department. But he did me a favor and reached out to someone he knows who deals with exams, etc and this is the info relayed back to me. No one said anything yet about the exam being thrown out. It is however being investigated. So cool your pits and post something constructive rather than wasting everyones time with your stupid posts.
