Everyone is technically notified. A 49 is sent, but whether or not the admin office reads it and notifies you is the key. You can always call the Uniform Promotions Unit and they will send out another notification.
Brat keep up the good work. Thanks for the info. Friend got called to be sworn in on Wednesday so its pretty certain unless blomberg cancels last minute.
in that respects yes, but dont think that if there are 1650 recruits that there isnt room IN THE PA for promotional classses to be conducted at the same time........i thought thats what they were getting at
There is plenty of room, for SLC, academy class and ALC ( LT's) all at the same time.
SLC is one classroom up on 7th floor if I remember correctly and so is ALC, next classroom over. It's 2 or 3 instructors who do both and barely deal with you. It's all guest speakers, and a few days out of the Academy, TF, Range, Gold Street, etc.

As this is a big class, we got separated into groups and squads with different scheduled dates to attend certain classes. Keep studying, heard that instructors were told not to make any plans of going away for Aug, whatever that means, guess take it with a grain of salt.
Take it for what its worth, a friend of mine is a few names away from being made (Lt) and he got word about a class of Lt's going in and also a group of Cpt's. This would jive with PD's info. I agree it doesn't mean there won't be an August class.
Yeah I heard the same thing, there will not be an August class lets keep our fingers crossed for a september class. Captains and lieutenants for August!!!!!
How many passovers usually go into any given class? Im 50'ish people away and Im wondering if Im a lock for the next class.
Cant really predict that. There were 9 (I think) in the last group. The class size varies as well. They usually do 70ish. Some times more, some times less. Just continue to do what your doing and enjoy your last summer as a cop. It'll come. Sooner than you think.
Yes...enjoy your last summer...and do all the overtime...there isn't any in bmoc...and I am sure the night diff will be gone soon as well...so make some Money...
Called downtown asking about the Phase 1. Was told that there are no ones currently scheduled. Wonder if that's a sign of a slowdown of sorts........but they have started clearing more names. Got a call from Educational Tracking today looking for a transcript.
Any other word on an Aug. class? I know only a week has gone by with the current Bmoc's class but if you hear anything please keep us posted! Thanks again.

Is there enough room at the academy to accommodate a Capt, Lt, and a Sgt class all at the same time? Does anyone know if this has ever been done before?
the recruits take up the first 5 floors..........7 & 8 are for in-service training..........there could be 2500 recruits or none and the 7th and 8th floors would still operate the same
I guess no one needs to get their life and finances in order before getting promoted; I am in the next class it seems yet I am scattering as I can't pay my bills and mortgage without 25 hoursv OT a month. Hope paid detail is an option while attending BMOC
