Regardless the amount of time you have on the job, you should be notified for this training. Dont forget this notification is sent via department mail addressed to your respective Co. moreover, sometimes mail gets lost while in the transition, so with that said Ill suggest for those who hasnt received a notification and should have to call Uniform Promotions at the following No. 646-610-6855. They should send a notification to your roll call clerk.
Just graduated the last bmoc class and i have 9 years on and never got notified for the phase 1. There were people there who had 5 yrs on that never went either, i dont think theres a rhyme or reason...

you are right about that, but on your bmoc, they only notified up to No. 120 for phase one. Then the rest didn't, there was nobody skipped.

I haven't been notified yet, but admin sgt told me they had the 49, and that I will be notified soon, I'm low 200's over 6 years so there goes that theory. I hope its for the 25th and 26th otherwise that would mean I am definitely not making the feb class. Good luck all. I hope we get some more reliable info on here. Anyone know the deal with the passovers? Are only 18 due to time and the rest jam-ups, no college, ccrb etc?
i got about 9 years kist nymber between 250 _280 i didnt get notified.
Last week i spoke with someone in unifrom promotion iwas told they have clread up to list number 249. So i don't know how in the worl someone after 249 would get a notification for training. By the way if theres gonna be a february class, then it will be January 31 cause Febrary 1 is a tuesday.
Yes they're supposed to. So list being at 165 and if class of 75 is going in we have about 30 pass overs who didn't 5 years on and that leaves us 45 names . 165 + 45 brings us to 210. So i dont think they will go over 210 unless from 165 to 210 will get passed over for what ever reason.
All you litttle girls need to stop worrying so much about when its gonna happen. Enjoy your last months or weeks as a cop. Go sick, take a day off here and there. Because when you go to the 73,75,67,44,46,32,34 and housing, cause that is where youre going, you'll feel like a prisoner in your own life. Youre not gonna know **** and theyre gonna throw you into the fire with no help, maybe the crime sgts cellphone number,"if you have a problem out there kid".
im in the 250's and have not received my phase 1 notification. i called the Training Unit instead and they told me my c.o should have gotten it already. When i called uniform promotion they redirected me to the training unit. the number to the training unit admin officei is 212-477-8434

Whaaaaat?)) what prisoner, guy? i rather feel like a prisoner-sergeant in Brooklyn North making overtime on a weekly basis, rather than freaking baffoon-sergeant in queens, where for every penny a cop makes past his tour, i'd have to notify the boro and get the log number.
i think they just clearing as many people as possible while the academy is empty. i am in 280ish my co has the 49 and as per admin Lt assistant my training is in February. i will find out the dates this week
Maybe I can help ease your worries guys, the one day is phase one of leadership training, they are trying to get everyone on the list to this one day, even people who will get passed over, or still modified...they show a couple videos an tell u about leadership. The real goal is to give u a 49 for your current C.O. so you can have a couple days on the desk, attend compstat, drive with a patrol supervisor, etc. They want the transition to your new commands to be smoother than previous BMOC's. I know people who went to the one day an weren't promoted for months...but they are trying to get everyone on the list in.
Phase 1 notifications mean nothing. Plenty of people never even attend them. Some people never even get notified or on vaca when they were supposed to be notified and dont go. Also, it doesnt mean you are getting promoted. Just another silly hoop for some to jump through.

Dont worry bud, they will get to the upper 700's eventually. Then you too will recieve your phase 1. In the meantime, have a
My list number is 741. Im gonna have a dozen here or there to kill some time. Not bad for just showing up and taking the test after a night out at Lu Lu's on Greenoint Ave. Free pizza on the weekends with your beer. You know what F*ck donuts, I'll see you herbs at Lu Lu's!!
So the truth is finally out. 741. Pretty horrible for a know it all. Maybe you should go back to the bar instead of flooding this blog with BS posts from little bullbitto. Not only is Zoo Master full of sh@t. Apparently, he's also full of pizza, beer and donuts.
Hey just because I didnt study and I was slamming back brews up to 2hrs before the test doesn't make my sources any less reliable. I have connections that is fact. Bobbito is in the know. I will be a Sgt one day with no knowledge of the patrol guide. And I am full of pizza and beer. Lu Lu's anyone. Come on, lets get crazy. Take of your clothes!!!! DV take the purple hammer out of your mouth I cant hear you!!!

I'm in the low 300's, over ten years and I was notified. Actually, I called uniform promotions and asked them to fax me the 49. Turns out that my 49 was addressed to a totally different command, which could be a big reason why I wasn't notified.
Zoo - Look, I don't want to attack you. As I have said in previous posts, as long as someone is telling us news they heard in good faith and not stirring the pot to get a rise out of people, I have no problem with the news, good or bad. Your source might be good and in the know, but he might be wrong. In the end, nobody knows what the deal is. The only thing I can confirm is that I got a 49 for phase 1 training and you have a choice of either going the 25th or the 26th at the police academy for a 0700x1500 tour. That is concrete. You are right in that promotion is not guaranteed. As a matter of fact, the 6th paragraph even states...
"Please note that this training notification in no way connotes eligibility for promotion, nor a guarantee of the time frame. Such matters are under the direction of the Personnel Bureau. Any official notification of eligibility, or direction to report for the Sergeants Leadership Course prior to promotion, will be issued by that bureau."
With that said, I feel that you are almost defending your source. Our jobs are not to defend our sources, just to post what they said. What we all volunteer to do by being on this site is to divulge whatever information we know of to help each other. If it wasn't for this site, I would be totally clueless as to what is going on so I want to thank everyone with the hard work they put in here.
Let's all keep it civil here. We all put hard work into this test (And I suspect even you Zoo put effort into this as well) to get paid and have less people tell us what to do. Just keep posting what you know and again, let's be civil. This internet tough guy crap needs to stop. Take care and I will see all of you out there sometime in the future.
Ive been following this forum for a while and have never posted but this a$$clown zoo master has really struck a nerve with me....I studied my ass of for this test and scored in the low 100's and now i get notified this week that I have to go down to EMD to see some Inspector named Jones, ive been passed over for some unknown reason and this jerk off who takes the test drunk will probably get promoted before me. He obviously doesnt take the rank of the job in a serious or professional manner.

LMAO. A typical response to hide the fact that you busted your ass studying but sh*t the bed the day of the test.
"Slamming beers 2 hours before the test"...thats your best line yet HAHAHA
In the meantime, keep writing those A's in bville and dont let bobbito stick it too far in your mouth

Zoo-Peon can say whatever he wants, everyone here knows he's full of you know what.
Side note anyone hear Bloomy's comments on pension reform during his State of the City Address? Any opinions on how that can effect us? As unborn Sgt.'s?

Ha Ha Ha, LOL, Just wait untill your actually promoted and your the only one out there. I dont care how much time you got, or how much patrol you did, its not the same. Much easier to be a cop on patrol than a boss who's responsable for everyone out there. Dont think your going to get overtime in Brooklyn either, not happening for new bosses. Sorry kid. No days off, Bottom of pile for Vacation and by the way, You will be lucky to get 5 min off the desk which you will probably get stuck on everyday when the senior SGT tells you hes going out and your staying in. Have fun, I do more work now then I ever have and I had a lot of patrol time in a busey place.
It will get better in time but its one hell of an adjustment at first. Lots of admin bull **** and responsability plus every baby cop comming to you about how the other sectors arent picking up thier jobs and calling you to every job because they cant make a decision.
I personally couldnt care less if you studied for 5 min or 5 yrs.. either way it does nothing for me or anyone else on this forum. If you like talking about yourself so much start your own thread and tell someone who gives a fvck.. that said, does ANYONE care that 67 are going into bmoc on the 31st?
anyone here had the lovely opportunity to go see that inspector down at EMD yet? ... just curious to what her function is down there by rippin MOS up for 45 minutes... appreciate any insight
I had 2 see Inspector J prior 2 my promotion. Kept hearing horror stories about her drilling prospective supervisors on their sick record or ccrb's. I personally know one supv that was skipped twice because of her recommendation. She spent 30 mins lecturing me on weak supervisors that answer radio runs instead of having their sectors do it. I nodded my head multiple times in a sign of agreement (while thinking 2 myself if she ever worked in a busy command b4). I was promoted a couple of months afterwards. The only positive about the meeting was that I purchased everything I needed for my dress uniform prior 2 promotion lol.
RICH-PD my only advice would be 2 make sure ur dress uniform is up 2 par. In addition, get ur sick record b4 the meeting because she tends to analyze whether most of ur sick days occur during the first 2 or the last 2 days of ur work week. If she notices a pattern, make sure u can justify the reason.

Booohooo MCD. I can care less whether I will be there by myself or with a squad of cops. It's is what it's, gotta roll with the punches. Go and tell those stories to retarded sergeants that just got reassigned from police academy to impact)) I don't know where you worked before taking this job. I did supervise people before and I did tons of admin work. Not this bull**** admin crap where you have calculate annual evaluations, 49, or some other laughable nonsense, but actual power point presentations, sweet-talk clients, preparing reports on emerging markets etc etc etc. Some of my buddies in Bk North on impact get more OT than they got while they were cops. I don't why you not getting it. Maybe you need get off patrol and play around with rookies
Zoo-Peon can say whatever he wants, everyone here knows he's full of you know what.
Side note anyone hear Bloomy's comments on pension reform during his State of the City Address? Any opinions on how that can effect us? As unborn Sgt.'s?
As far as those of us on the job, I believe that the only thing that can effect us directly is increased contributions to medical and pension plans. However, it is the unborn that is going to get gutted by Bloomys plan. No variable, a cap on OT for retirement, ITHP OR 50%, not both, 25 years in and 50 yrs old for retirement.
Another thing that I think would effect us down the road is Bloomy's plan to take a knife to civil service testing. As of now, the list is based on your score, the top scorer being number 1, the second being number two, and so on. If Bloomy has his way, there will be "Testing Bands". Example, anyone that scores between 100 and 90 will be weighed the same and may be the first band. The second band might be from 89-80.... etc. Now as per bloomys plan, he can cherry pick people in the first band. Example, I got a 100 and you got a 90. But because you are buddies with him and dating his daughter, you will be picked for promotion and I won't, even though I have the higher score, but our grades are still within that range. That would suck, and that woud be patronage all over again.
Also, for those looking to make a difference, Bloomy wants to classify certain positions as "Manager". (Read it in The Chief.) They would include Precinct Commanders, Asst. Fire Chiefs, and Principals. What that means is he could hire a civilian to become Commanding Officer of the 19th pct for example. Managers serve at the pleasure of the Mayor, which means the Mayor would have even more control of the NYPD than he does now. Imagine Al Sharpton as Commanding Officer of Central Park Precinct. Goodbye Civil Service, Hello Patronage. Before anyone says that can't happen, the Director of Support Services Bureau is a civilian where the position was formerly held by an Assistant Chief. Also, Chancellor Black has NO experience in schools, yet she is in charge of the largest school system in the nation.
Anyways, hope that helps. Take care and good luck to you in the future.
