I heard 60 from the 2009, an 10-15 finishing off 2008, an the class will overlap October's class for a couple days. Couple sources, don't know how reliable, but sounds good.

There is definately going to be a class going in november as per all the instuctors in bmoc now, i am assuming they would know that much atleast and be accurate.  This class goes out on nov 8th for field training and they are all being told about the overlap as well.  According to a sgt at my command, that used to work down there it is no doubt that they could handle an overlap especially if other ranks have no or minimal promotions.  Hopefully the 8th is the latest and how many is the bigger question?? All my info is from a guy from my command that is in bmoc now, who knows what the real deal is though....hopefully some good solid info will happen soon

1st or 8th isn't that big of a deal as long as the classes keep going in. I know it's premature, but previous people have said a class every month for the next few months. So my question is will there be a December class also......

I have a sgt at my command that was supposed to hang out with his friend that is a bmoc instructor this past weekend and he was going to get the latest update on what they are being told for me. When i get the info i will post it asap. Of course we wont know until it happens but i would say based on all these rumors and what is going on currently its more than likely going to happen.

LOL, I F-ing hear ya!!
I'm still concerned with December Class though because my list # is in the sixties. I was hoping with pass overs due to time and such I could make the first group, but I am probably 2 classes away if they only do 65.

Well if it helps for the first class: #2 is a sgt already.  #3,6,21,27 can't be in a Nov class cause they don't hit 5 till Jan. #19 is def off the job and I believe #36 is as well.

So if they went 75 in Nov, you could be in.

Footpost, I was thinking maybe 2 classes because there are still 10 from 08 list plus possibly a few passovers that are cleared by now. Obviously I hope I am wrong and make the next class. Just don't want to get my hopes up. Guess I'll just have to wait a few weeks and see.

I don't think there are still 24 jam ups on the 08 list but if there are, I believe they will die on the list if they aren't cleared up before the last 10 are made. The important thing is the 09 list starts moving. Good luck to all those who got notified for the intro Sgt. Class

impatient, my list number is 20 and another guy in my command is 44 and he got notified as well...and as for all the rumors on the 08 list they can easily pass those who are jammed up and promote them later...this job is in no rush to clear up their issues to promote them sooner...the list will not die..there was guys on the 07 list that got hired well into the usage of the 08 list. hopefully the classes keep on rolling

Instructors said a november class is going in.

They also said the current class is mostly patrol people and that the top of the next bmoc list will be mostly inside people, house mouses, and detail people that had plenty of time to study. hah

My friend in the current BMOC told me a big class (60-70) going in 2nd week of November. They graduate this Friday October, 29th, then go back for another week.
I wish a big class meant 80-100, but at least the balls rolling.

This job sucks, they used to take care of guys if you were on a list, keep you inside etc so you wouldn't get jammed up. Now the job doesn't even take care of it's senior people. They'll send a guy with 18 years on to the Hospital so they can turn a rookie out on a foot post. Forget about taking care of a guy because he's on a list.

Ok, I thought it was just my command, I'm a crime guy that went to day tours to lay low...big mistake, getting reminded by fellow cops that I'm getting promoted (which is cool), an getting reminded by tool bosses that I'm still a cop with petty nonsense, an I can't stay inside cuz of all the jam ups an broken toys...thanks for the quick rant guys...now any news on a December class lol

Ahem to that.
I'm in housing and we all (cops/bosses) recently got training on not to make crim tres collars and if the perps sues, the city wont indemnify/back you.

All my bosses know im getting promoted soon and they're still pushing me to get collars/tags, EVEN crim tres collars.

I give them a big salute with a 10-04 and tell them im doing my best sir! I'm looking everynight on my footpost! wink

While all i do collect my $92,000 salary standing my footpost looking pretty.

Number of collars really don't mean that much....IRT people have tons of collars and they are useless....conditions have tons of collars and they are mostly crappy collars...

People get so offended when people say that the ones high on the list are house mice....why?

I remember a special Ops lt who had only 6 or so collars for his career but would always stress activity...the bottom line...who cares how many collars he had... he was a boss and you had to listen to him...

I laugh when I hear cops say, "that sgt only has 10 collars..." and then go do what the sgt tells them to do...

Peace.

Spoke with a Sgt at my command who is the SBA sgt at arms and he was told 75 a month for november and december. He was told back in august 200 more sergeants by the end of 2010. I would say it looks very promising that there will be another big class in december. Too much retiring and now some hiring for it to not happen....FYI last years christmas class went in the first week of january

Mike. While I agree with your statement regarding collars not nattering. I do also feel like house mice score higher because a) they don't confuse real world with p.g. World. And b). They have all thier hiding time to study. Ya. I am sure your special op lt stresses activity. So do all the house mice that become bosses. So ****ing shaky that they r going to lose thier position that they will make other break thier backs for them. After all that's why they took the test. This is also in my opinion why we have so many female bosses . Because the same shake box boss likes when a female shakes her ass and thinks he will get some. Gives her a nice. Inside position where she gets to study becomes a boss and swears she didn't need a man to do it. Like I said that's my opinion and not all girls. I kno some girls that will get dirty out thier. And they r appriciated. U think to be a boss you should have a certain amount of collars. Not 10 not 20. I say about 100 quAlity collars. That's a real cop. Not 100 511 or building material. You say you laugh when cops do the bidding of a house mouse boss. I guess it would be funny to a house mouse. Yes this is a long rant. Yes I realize that I have bad grammar. No I won't do a spell check. I am a regualr patrol grunt. Making the streets a little bit safer for the good ppl out thier like I swear to do. Why. Cause I'm not MIcKEy mouse

I dont have a problem with house mouses, or people that are from a lesser type command like details, transit or slow prcts that get promoted.  Here is a message to all those going in next class.  If you were a busy cop, house mouse, sgt op, barrier detail, ride trains, crime, sneu or stats, just be honest! Its cool! No one will fault you for that or at the same time praise you. Bottom line, no one gives a sh!$.  But what people do care about is if you say something your not, like i dont want to hear at roll call how you were the greatest transit cop ever! Or how only good cops and good collars came from crime.  If you had 10 collars, fine, but dont be that guy who say as a cop they were a "machine," because we all know that it is very easy to run tax numbers, omni codes and simple phone calls to find out that you were the property guy in the prct. Just be human, and if stuff has to get done, just say, "this is what has to be done," nothing personal. Good Luck
