Hey I never have any info but I was told by someone reliable who spoke directly to an unnamed chief with a collection of stars that September 13 is the date. I didn't ask how many are going in but if this is just a rumor than it has multiple sources

Just heard the same thing at my pct. Heard right after all the summer details are done. We lost 84 sgts to promotions and many more to retirements. This list should be done by december

I think these people just read Sept 13 on rising star and are now spreading that rumor at their commands.

I am just going to throw this theory out there:

They put in 30 Captains (more than in a long time)

They put in 45 Lieutenants

Would it be possible that they are having the Captains class in the Lieutenants classroom because of how many there are (the usual classroom for capt is pretty small) thereby forcing the lts into the room where they hold the Sergeant classes leaving no room for a sgts class. With lts being there for 2 weeks, doing the math Sept 13th the sgt classroom would be open for use for a sgt class because the lts would be gone by then.

Not saying this is fact or anything, but the delay may be caused by logistics more than anything else.

that makes alot of sense waiting! capt and lt bmoc will be over by the 13th good point, uniform promotions confirmed the 13th but as you know anything can change but right now it looks like either 67 or 76 going in.

Has anyone here ever been to the PA? There are always multiple empty room on every floor. This is not the reason for a 9/13 class... if there is even one.

And heres another theory to squash a 9/13 class: when has there been a bmoc that hasnt gone in after the last wednesday of the month? Years?

There will be a Sept 13th class. Just call the pa or uniform promotions. I asked them in person the other day.

I doubt it would be because of a lack of classrooms, A lack of instructors seems more likely. Running class for all three ranks at the same time seems like a bit much. Captains and Lieutenants only have bmoc for 2 weeks, which would fit perfectly for a Sept 13 class.

Called Uniform Promotions (212)477-8430, they confirmed 76 people for September 13th. Hopefully no changes.

My buddy in Transit spoke to one of the Sgts who teaches the class and she confirmed a class of 76 in mid Sept.

Yeah it looks like there will finally be a bmoc. Unless there is a last minute cancellation, a september class looks legit.

The list is currently at 519 out of 671. So, if 76 go in, then 76 will be left on the list, not including those that were skipped. I'm not sure exactly how many have been skipped.

i to spoke to the sgt today a uniform promotions 212-477-8430 she did confirm 76 going in sgts class for sept 13. I did forget to ask when the notification would come down. Does anyone have an idea?

Just food for thought, there are 152 names left on the 08 list. 76 is exactly half of that. Two classes of 76 would finish the list, makes sense...

152 left on list with the 22 passovers = 174 people waiting to be promoted. I'm sure in all this time since the last promotion that alot of the passovers have cleared things up.

A Lieutenant at my command was working the parade, and had a bmoc instructor on his roster who confirmed 76 are going in on the 13th.
